yes but thats NOT the question! Its which came first: the chicken or the egg.Not the dinosaur before the chicken! geeze.And the chicken had to come first because it has to incubate the egg.If the egg came first,what would have kept the egg warm? So the chicken came first.

If you look at evolution, They chicken and its abilty came from somewhere. But it takes a higher organism to be able to lay an egg, so if you trace it back the chicken came first.

what a generalization. :( yes chickens do come from being evolved from I believe a pheasant like bird. And evolution to another species usually takes many generations, not just one step.
