I have a little problem with my 4 month old Pit bull puppy. His brother weighs about 4 lbs more then him. I actually brought him home a month after I got the other one (the one that weights more). I don't know if it was because I started feeding my first puppy with Royal Canin babydog food since he was 6 weeks old, and the second puppy I got was being fed with IAMS puppy food until he was about 2months old. I been feeding him with Royal Canin large breed puppy and baby dog for a month and a half now, but I don't see him getting enough weight like my other puppy does. I don't know if it's genetics, or the type of food he was fed when he was a baby. I need some suggestions on what I should feed him so that he can get stronger and weight more...

The food you are feeding is a pretty good one.
Stick with that and they should be fine.
Keep in mind that the pups may end up different sizes and weights. Within the litter you may have some who are larger and heavier and some smaller and thinner and that is normal. Just the differences between individuals.
Keep in mind that most large breed puppys go through a stage where they are really gangly and funny looking and they grow height wise until about 8-9 months and then tend to fill out after they stop getting taller.
Pitts will gain weight until about 18 months or so.

It could be a couple things. My first suggestion would be to take it to your vet and make sure he gets his parvo etc. Bring in a stool sample so it could be examined (a tootsie roll).
It could be that the bigger puppy is eating his food. The other dog could be the dominate one. Feed them in diffrent locations.
Or it simply could be that, since they are not brothers, one just has bigger ancestors.
Hope this helps.

Have you asked your vet? If not, have him tested for worms and parvo. I do not like IAMS because they do animal testing but Royal Canin is truly the best.

I did this for my pit, Just keep them on high quality feed, and walk them as much as you can, and give them time and the yard and such, but as they get old they do fill out...hope that helps =)
