Congratulations on your baby! I can understand your concern so here's a few tips. First start out with the regular traps, you know the snapping ones. I recommend using peanut butter as bait, since mice seem to love that the most. When you set the trap, do it where they seem to be seen the most, and if you watch them, find their escape route (whatever it may be) and place it down. I do not think poison would be a good idea since it can be dangerous to you and another thing is that if a mouse eats it and wanders away and dies, you'll end up with a rotting corpse if you don't find it. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but good luck on your mouse problem!

The best trap for a garage or camp that will be left unattended for a while and still rid your place of mice. It is as follows:
Get a 5 gallon bucket, drill two holes in the sides near the top across from each other, so a straight section of coat hanger will go through them to suspended a soda can near the top on the inside. Drill the same size holes in the top and bottom of the cola can so it will roll on the hanger. Put soda can on straightened metal coat hanger and put hanger through holes so the can rolls easily on the hanger. Slightly bend ends sticking out of bucket so it will not slip out. Put a small amount of peanut butter on the can and put 5 inches of water in the bucket.
Mice will jump to get the peanut butter, can will spin, mice will roll off the can and drown in the water.

Well mice are very gross but i don`t want them to be killed or to suffer if you got a sticky trap they would suffer but if you got a mouse trap they would die fast, and thats sad i like mice just not in the house,if you need them out then try to find the hole they r comming from block it or wrap food on a mouse trap but for no mice to die i would just find the place they r comming through and block it.

Use papertowel tubes with one end closed off. Stick some nuts or other yummy smelling food in it. They love to hide and the food is a bonus. Then you can just pick the tube without getting bit. Put the tubes where you know the mice travel, usually behind things. Good luck and congratulations!

Cats, old fashioned mouse traps, or whatever those traps are called that catch the mouse in a little wheel or something? I forget, but they can't escape. Personally, I dont like glue traps just because you have to see the thing alive and squealing. Ugh

get a cat. There are some dogs that were bred for that kind of thing too. I think some of them are jack Russel terrier, skipperkee. I think most terriers were bred for that . but i would just look in the paper for some kittens and bring one home . Especially ones that you get from the farms.I had a cat that rocked when it came to mouse hunting. He got 3 in less then an hour.

Traps. Poison. Cat(s).
Whatever you do, know that mice are VERY smart. They will tell their friends that things are dangerous, once they find out. My friends had these troubles, and that is how I know.
Good Luck, and good for thinking about it before hand.
Congratulations on the baby!!!

Glue traps are the best traps ever invented.
After glue traps, people quit trying to invent "the better mouse trap".
Place them in cabinets, and anywhere you have seen a mouse scurry by.
Just make sure when the little one is able to crawl you keep them out of reach.
