As mentioned in one of my questions yesterday, I'm bringing donations to Humane Society, & don't want to leave out the little furry pets, so I wanted to bring bedding. Do I get the wood chips, or can you tell me specifically what brand to get? Can I bag be used for hamsters, rabbits & ferrets, which are all at the shelter, or does each animal require a different type of cage bedding? I'm asking cause I don't know about this. Thanks! - What else is a good donation idea? (Other than money- I like to bring them actual items)

Why are they trying to make it so no one can have a pit? I understand that SOME are mean, but thouse have been tought to be mean. There are some that are very nice. I had one and they told us that we have to pay 1hundered and 50 thousend dollars to keep her. Im not kidden on that amount! That was after we had her papers and shots done. I really confused. Can some one please help me out. Is this only in the state I live or everywhere? I really loved my dog and if its only in my state Minnesota and North Dakota Im moving!

I've been reading the questions on here and am surprised. Why do people think Shar Pei have skin problems? I have a 6 month old (since she was 10 weeks) + there are no special requirements, no problems with her skin...People have this misconception there are lots of health problems. If you get a good breeder, they're no more likely 2b unhealthy than other breeds.

She has a bath every 2weeks and needs very little other care, however, I keep an eye on her eyes as they can get entropion (not exclusive to Shar Pei). They don't shed, have short hair that's virtually hypo-allergenic and are lovely.

And before anyone asks, I didn't get a Shar Pei because they're cute and wrinkly as pups (mine is nearly out of her wrinkles). They're great family dogs, very loyal and people orientated and they don't bark a lot.

I'm not really asking a question, I know, but I'm concerned about this misconception that people have when they don't know the breed.

We have 3 black 2 year old cats. We love them. But they are not lap kittys. Two years ago we lost 2 lap kittys that we loved, then replaced them with the ones we have now, but these ones just come in to eat,sleep and they fight alot with each other. They don't like to be held at all, and my kids want to hold them. I will not get rid of them, but my question is " Is there anything I can do to calm down my kitty's, make them more loveable lap kitty's, any herbs, treatment?? Yes they are fixed with all there shots, No I will not make them fulltime indoor cats. No rude commets please..

please someone help me,i have a 4 month old west highland terrior,i've had her since she was 8 weeks old but she's still not house trained and it's a major problem now,part of it is mine and my boyfriend's fault as we both work full time so it's hard but it's getting to the stage now where he's getting really fed up of her and her going to the toilet in the house and having to clean up after her and wants to get rid of her and of course i don't want to give her up cos i'm mad about her,if there are any vet nurses or animal experts reading this i'd really appreciate any help,in fairness she only goes in the one place in the house but she won't go outside at all,i could leave her out in the back for a while but when i let her in she comes straight in and goes in the house,i've tried moving the newspaper nearer the door like some people have told us but it hasn't worked for us,please help me keep my babe cos i can't get rid of her now!!!

My dog has bitten my son and I want to find him a home where someone can better train him than I. I just dont feel I have the time or money to have him professionally trained. He is not a bad dog but he is big(great dane) and agressive and needs professional help. The great dane rescue wont take him because he has bitten.

I have a sweet s-10 that I don't drive, it has nice aluminum rims. My neighbors mangy dogs come into my yard, bark at my cats in the middle of the night, and pi$$ all over my rims. It's leaving stains on them, what should I do? They are mangy farm dogs, not some little kids loved pet. There is no animal control, I would very much like to just put a bullet in each of them the next time they step in my yard, but someone will cry foul.

I'm at my mom's house for the holiday. However when my step dad isn't here, the dog look so depress and sad, it would coil in one spot and not go anywhere at all. It would act like as if his best friend pass away.

The moment my step dad come home, he's all fine and normal himself.

What's up with this? How do I get it to stop acting and looking so depress when my step dad isn't around?

I noticed this in our cats that the black ones seem over all healthier, and we have scnauzers (i have over time had 14) and I noticed the black ones had no skin problems while the other colors had some itch problems. Anybody else noted this or perhaps seen it different.

My aquarium is always green with floating algae. I thought it was the sun so I moved it to an area where the sun does not shine on it. It is still green. I have asked every one I know including pet stores and no one knows what the problem is. I have 2 Placostomus one is 14" long and he is 10 ysr old. A red tailed shark that is at least 10 yrs old. 2 cory cats. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
