The very best cleaners are those formulated specifically for biological materials. Go to your local pet store, or dept. store, and look at the labels to find a cleaner specifically for this purpose and use according to directions.

In the meantime, you can use a mixture of 3 parts water to 1 part white vinegar to clean the spot well ... but the specialty cleaners are best.

Don't use anything with amonnia (sp) in it. It will encourage them to continue going in that spot. Otherwise any cleaner safe for your surface is reasonable.
