My 8 yr old Lab ate a toy again. We took her to the vet and he says there's no obstruction, but that her insides are a little agrivated.
Her intestines are full of gas, and she isn't able to poop.
Any ideas as to what I can feed her to soothe her poor insides and ger her back to normal?
Tnx

My toy poodle began vomiting up everything he ate, soon after he swallowed any food or water. I brought him to the vet for an x-ray and many other tests and they were negative. He did not have a movement for 5 days, and then slowly began digesting things again. He definitely chews his fur on occasion, but I was told it could not be a hairball. How do I stop him from eating his fur? And would a hairball remedy help him in the future, should this happen again. He is occasionally vomiting now, and there is always a small chunk of hair in his vomit. Hope someone can give me some good advice

I have recently adopted a 3 legged dog from the humane society. Duke was born with a withered back leg. That doesn't matter in the slightest to me, he is still a great dog and companion for me. He has a great temperement and adjusted well to living with me. My friend was ripping on me and Duke, saying only 4 legged dogs are worth anything basically. She calls him a crippled dog, and he isn't crippled in my eyes, he could out run her flea bitten mutt any day of the week. She says this is from inbreeding. I say not every 3 legged dog is inbred. With a lot of encouragement and praise, I helped him to get up and down the stairs and now he just races up and down them. I can tell Duke is proud of himself and I am proud of him. So why are some people like that? 3 legs or not, that doesn't make him any less of a dog, and he deserved a good and loving home and he got one.

I recently was given a "Yellow" lab. She's a dark yellow/golden color. Her mom was chocolate, sire was same honey gold color as puppy. The puppy's eyes seem to be blue/green....is this normal? Would this be due to the chocolate genes?

going to get a new puppy. people usally cut the tail of this breed in my country for a better look. Of course will bring the dog to a registered vet for this surgery. Not sure if it is against the law to cut dog's tail in U.S.

Within the last day and a half he hasn't been able to stand or move without support. I thought he might have colic but that isn't it cuz he is pooping. When he stands up, he falls back down. He is only 3 years old. I don't understand what it could be, he has received all his shots. I called the Vet and she will be here in a couple of hours.

My friend has two cats. When he is around he gives them some meals of canned food and some meals of dry food. For a test run, he bought an automatic feeder and had it give them dry food only for a day or two. Seemed to work OK. Then he was gone for a night or two and when he came back the cats had diarrhea. What is the likely cause? Do you think the problem is that they are getting only the dry food and no canned? Or do you think they are eating too much food? Or are they just stressed because he was gone?
