How do i get car oil off my cat.I posted a question if my cat would die if she licked it off ,luckily she didnt and i took her a bathe and now she still has oil on herself.It has like a wet look on it but when you touch it its dry.

My mother has told me that she wants to buy a dog. We are both currently researching a breed that would fit best with her lifestyle, and I was wondering if anybody could help us.

Because of my mother's declining health, she will not be able to take care of a dog that needs to be walked more than once a day. We are looking for a dog that would be content just playing indoors or keeping her company. Also, I don't want a dog that is big enough to knock her over.

We were thinking about getting either a whippet or a boston terrier. Does anyone have any better suggestions? Thanks.

what if its going into convulsions? would you take it home and try to operate on it ? would you call a priest? leave it there? shoot it andy put it out of its misery? feed it? make it an organ donor? take a picture? dig a hole and bury it?

I'm traveling on a plane (in-cabin) with kitty for the 1st time.. and her carrier is an inch higher than the airline specs. Is this OK? I don't want to spend another $70 on a new carrier. It's one of those fabric ones, and since she sleeps on top of it sometimes, it's decreased in size. The carrier has to be placed under the seat in front of me, but I think there will be enough room. I want to be sure so I can avoid any problems. Tell me from your own experience???

I can't always monitor when my cats eat, but my dogs will sometimes eat the cat's food. is there a special feeder I can buy at Petco or Petsmart that will allow my cats to get their food, but prevent the dogs from eating it?

I'd look myself, but im not sure what to look for.

My dog keeps outsmarting me! We have a 6 foot fence surrounding our property and my dog keeps climbing it and running around town! I take him to work with me on a vineyard everyday where he runs around for 9 hours, so he can't be underwalked. I put an electric wire on the top of the fence wich worked until the battery died when he chewed it off at the base so it could not be repaired. He has pulled apart any atempt at tying him up. even tried a board at the top of the fence facing in (kind of like at the top of a prison fence). I feel like we have tried everything! Help!

I rehomed a 12 yr old cat who had been stray 6 weeks ago. He rarely ventures out as now enjoys the warmth, food and attention he gets after living on the streets! We've really bonded but last night he went out and hasn't come back! I'm really worried about him as he is old, new to the area, and not very well the moment. I can only assume he is lost. Do cats actually get lost and does anyone have some tips on how I can find him? I fear the longer he is gone the less chance he'll find home again. I've been out looking and calling his name but wonder just how far away he could have got! Advice appreciated.

Why do my 6 month old kittens keep peeing on my beanbag seats?

They don't do it on any of the other furniture and use their litter tray which i out clean regularly.

I just spoke to a woman dachshund breeder who told me not to breed my two red dachshunds, because it will dull there color, and that I should get a black and brown dachshund to breed good colored coats??? Confused, because my vet never told me anything about red dachshund having any problems breeding? I have done some research about breeding my two dachshunds, and have not hears of this sort of problem? I would like to know if anyone has heard of this sort of thing with the dachshunds.... I am in the process of buying a black female pug puppy. I have already chosen a (responsible) breeder, and am wondering what I should look for when choosing the puppy I want from the litter. Any good/bad signs to look out for? Should I avoid choosing the runt of the litter? (I've heard good & bad things about runts). What are the desirable & undesirable traits I could be looking for? Also, what age should pug puppies typically be when they are released to their new owners? (I realize this can vary depending on the readiness of the puppy). Thanks for any and all advice....

We already called the vet and are going tomorrow, but i'm afraid it may be too late! Well, I put my bunny in her exercise fence, which is supposed to be dog proof (it's about 5 ft high) but my dog jumpd into the fence and grabbed my bunny! i grabbed my dog and made him drop her right away. So my dog dropped her, and i put her back in her cage, she doesn't seem to have broken any part of her body, cuz she can still move.. But she doesn't want too... she's not moving, not eating/drinking, and pooping abnormal poop shapes... we already called all the vets around town and the only one that's available is tomorrow.... but it might be too late! what are some things i can do at home to let my bunny feel better and make her less sick?? please help!!!!!!
