We already called the vet and are going tomorrow, but i'm afraid it may be too late! Well, I put my bunny in her exercise fence, which is supposed to be dog proof (it's about 5 ft high) but my dog jumpd into the fence and grabbed my bunny! i grabbed my dog and made him drop her right away. So my dog dropped her, and i put her back in her cage, she doesn't seem to have broken any part of her body, cuz she can still move.. But she doesn't want too... she's not moving, not eating/drinking, and pooping abnormal poop shapes... we already called all the vets around town and the only one that's available is tomorrow.... but it might be too late! what are some things i can do at home to let my bunny feel better and make her less sick?? please help!!!!!!

I've come to your aid!!! Get your bunny out of her cage NOW and start gently massaging her all over - right now she's in serious shock and she needs to be helped; she's also probably sore from being held hostage in a pair of jaws. Talk to her and just keep petting/massaging her. Try to entice her to eat with some graham crackers - bunnies love them! - and some pumpkin - MAKE SURE THAT IT IS 100% PURE PUMPKIN; no additives or anything because if it is not pure, it will kill your bunny. My rabbit went through the same thing once; he's still alive!!! Just keep with her; watch her and make sure she's okay. Just remind her where her food and water is...leave her out in the house so she can move if she wishes, but don't allow her to get into any tight spaces because it's likely that she won't come out. Keep the area around her quiet -and the dog very far away. She'll come around eventually, you just need patience with her. I wish you the best of luck with your bunny!!!

She's probably terrified and may be in shock. If at all possible take her inside for the night (she should be inside permanetly for that exact reason; she can be attacked outside!) and make her comfortable. If she will not eat pellets, try feeding her veggies or hay. Try petting her and just being there for her and staying with her as much as you can. Keep the dog away from her and make her feel as safe as possible. Try calling emergency clinics that may be open this late...but ask if they are familiar with rabbits because the last thing you need is a vet who has no idea what their doing. For a listing of good rabbit vets near you, go to http://www.rabbit.org/vets/vets.html. Good luck and I hope she feels better!

Rabbits go into shock very easily, and it sounds like that's what is going on. Keep your bunny warm and quiet, somewhere where the dog can't be seen. If she has a box where she can hide and feel safe, that may help some more, otherwise drape the cage with a towel or blanket (leave one side open so bunny can have fresh air and so you can keep an eye on her) and keep anyone from disturbing her.

I'm sorry to hear that. One thing you need to check is if she's eating well. She might just be a mommy's girl. But since you have no money for the vet and dont' know, why don't you go to your nearest library and check out a book about the health of a rabbit. A book from the moment there born to when there older. Hope that helps.

Your rabbit has suffered a severe trauma. A really bad scare can be enough to kill them. Aren't there any vetrinary emergency rooms in you area? They are usually open during the evening hours, when the vets' offices are closed.

If you have no other alternative, keeping her warm (not hot), in a quiet place, with access to food and water, is about all you can do. I will say a prayer for your bunny.

I don't know too much about bunny's, but I know that if a bird has a tramatic experience like that it puts there body under a lot of stress. I'm not sure, but maybe if you hold your bunny and try to calm it down it might help. I hope that things go ok at the vets.

i agree you really cannot do much for a bunny. Keep it in a calm atmosphere with water and food redily available. Maybe put some of the food on the floor and some hay close to it.

Keep her warm and comfortable and try not to stress her. She may have internal injuries that can't be helped.

It really sucks the vets can't find time for you. I'm disappointed in them :-(

She is most likely very sore. Limit handling her and keep hand offering her food several times a day.

She might be in shock and there's nothing much you can do except don't move her cause you might scare her more.
