I can't always monitor when my cats eat, but my dogs will sometimes eat the cat's food. is there a special feeder I can buy at Petco or Petsmart that will allow my cats to get their food, but prevent the dogs from eating it?

I'd look myself, but im not sure what to look for.

1. Put the cat food in a high place that's difficult for the dogs to get to, but easy for the cat...
What I do is put the cat food on top of the washer (or some place high) where the cat can get to, but the dogs have a harder time.

2. Don't let your cat free feed... put away the cat food after an hour.
I found out that one of my dogs can jump onto the washer, so I now feed the cat for an hour and I put the food up in a cabinet. The cat will let me know when she wants more food.

Option: Move cat food to a different location.
My garage has a cat door, but my dogs can't fit. I've moved the cat food to the garage where she can eat in peace. My only problem was raccoons, but that's only a seasonal problem.

Put the catfood on a table, counter, or other high surface that the dogs can't reach. That's about the easiest way to guarantee the cats are eating it and the dogs are not. I don't think there's any type of feeder that will prevent the dogs from getting to it.

Oh my gosh so many people have that problem!

1. You can put a fence around it but make it so that the cat can get into it like...raise it from the ground a little

2. Put it in a litter box(not one they use) but they have litter box lids and ut it under that.
