KOI grow the biggest, around 2 to 3 feet if they live long enough. i am raising some in my backyard pond now. also, i once had saved a feeder goldfish from being eaten by a knife fish. it was an inch long when we got him. in one years time, he had grown to be 6 inches long. just an ordinary little goldfish. it is all in how they are cared for and fed.

I've heard that carp (red cap goldfish), fancy goldfish can get really big (about 6 inch or more) and get really heavy (about 8 pounds in a bigger fish tank, keep in mind they need about 10 gallon per goldfish if you plan to keep them for a long time.

Koi can live much longer than that (up to about 200 years old) which have been doucmented in Japan. They can grow to about 3 feet long and needs a LOT of space to grow and swim (100 gallon or plus) Keep in mind koi needs about 10 gallon per inch.

I've seen beautiful tank on tv which is about 10,000 gallon and filled with about 20 kois.

I believe the biggest goldfish are known as Coi, but the fresh water carp is in the same family and they can grow very large up to 20 lbs.

usually the singletail goldfish grow the largest of all the goldfish
like comets, shubunkins, etc., 10-12 inches not unusual if in very large tank or pond

well the Koi are a different type of species but are very related to the goldfish, the common goldfish(feeder goldfish), comet, or shubunkin goldfish are very hardy.... perhaps the most hardiest types of goldfish.

Goldfish can grow to be as big as their environment will tolerate. For example, if you have a 75 gallon tank, it will grow to be about 2 feet long, maybe even bigger. Hope this helps!!!!!

I think most all of the pepperidge farm goldfish are the same size. They have different flavors though.
