In order to get your dog to stop this behaviour you have to stop rewarding it. What do pet owners usually do when the dog jumps up? Usually they look at the dog and say something like "OK, Rover, OK, down, down, OK, good dog, go away now, enough, OK..." and may even pet the dog during the episode. All this attention is PURE REWARD to the dog, and only encourages the jumping up behaviour. What needs to be done is the withdrawal of all attention. When the dog jumps up, quickly turn away from the dog, fold your arms, make no eye contact and say nothing. Once the dog has settled down THEN give it loads of attention and serious petting. The dog will need to learn this with every family member and everyone should act the same way to be consistent.

Once the dog learns that jumping gets up gets it NOTHING, the behaviour should lessen or stop. Often the combined use of the sit command to refocus the dog's attention is a great way to speed the whole process. As the dog is calming down, give the sit command and reward the dog for the good sit. This is especially good when you are on walks and the dog encounters a human it wants to greet. Just before it gets excited, give the sit command, then reward the dog with food, petting, toys, etc. Get the human to come down to the dog's level and greet the dog that way. A dog that is busy sitting can't jump up if it's on a leash.

First begin by purchasing a anti-jumping harness at PetsMart or PetsCO or online. IT attached a painless harness from the back legs to the front legs. Every time the dog tries to jump, the harness prevents him from being able to. Now, this alone will not cure the problem because the dog will quickly know he can't jump when it is on, and can when it is off. SO- add a command that tells him he CAN jump. By adding this command, he will be able to identify the command that means to jump. Do this outside when it is okay for him to jump (but not jumping ON you). Then say NO whenever he jumps on you or anyone else. Make sure the NO is forceful and there is no doubt it really means no. Then - begin working on basic obedience. Teach the dog to sit, stay, come, down, off, and his focus will change to wanting to play the obedience game with you, wanting to please you. If you are not able to train him alone, take him to a class.

Good luck!

If you have an eletric fence outside and he has a collar to wear with it, get the remote that goes with it go you can beep or buzz him when he does something wrong inside. so when he jumps up say down in a firm voice then press the button that makes the beep and if he doesn't get it then buzz it. It's done a great job teaching my dog to stop barking at other dogs.
Good luck

You have to put a choker and a lead on him. Every time he does this give him a quick tug and a firm NO. After a while he will see you are the alpha and not a litter mate in which to play. Reward him with a treat every time he behaves in a calm non bouncing way. when this behavior changes then he can be off the lead when you are together.

Gently bring your knee up to block the dog then turn away. Dont' make eye contact and don't pet the dog or talk to it. This will let him know this is unacceptable behavior. NEVER hit the dog hard in the chest with your knee. You could cause serious injury.

If the coaching you choose isn’t working for you interior 3-4 weeks then its okay to attempt something else. one way of struggling with this habit is by utilising rewarding what you choose and ignoring what you don’t choose. Your dogs is worked as much as see you once you come residing house and that they react by utilising leaping. Make your front calm and coffee key. while your dogs jumps at you swap away and overlook approximately him/her thoroughly. while they too have calmed down then you definately can puppy them and say “stable woman” or “stable boy” in case you carry treats you grants one as we communicate too. in the adventure that your dogs then starts off to bounce back, back overlook approximately. Wait a minimum of 5 sec earlier rewarding while they clam down. yet don’t wait too long or they won't understand what they're being rewarded for. yet in any different case for struggling with a dogs from leaping is by utilising coaching the sit down command. each and every time somebody comes over have your dogs sit down.. For the 1st quite a few cases leash your dogs besides this way you have greater administration. in the event that they arise do no longer pull your dogs back, extremely get your travellers to overlook approximately your dogs whilst you get them to sit down down back. supply treats each and every time the dogs sits and does something you ask. This reinforces the habit. do no longer’s do no longer shout or yell at your dogs…this in effortless terms confuses them and would make the habit worse. do no longer knee your dogs in the chest, hit, pull, push, grab or step on your canines ft. All of those would reason worried habit that may bring about aggression. canines are taught those tactics do the habit because of the fact they worry their vendors.

Put your knee up and dont pet the dog when it does this. If he jumps on you where you cant pick up your knee smack it on the nose and say a firm NO.

smack his/her nose ..(softly)
Dogs understand humans so just tell the dog to stop it, with a firm voice.
This might take awhile for the dog to it.so just wait.
Please dont yell or hit hard,
Dogs are like kids.
