8 & 1 is typically a good brand, although I have never used that for my ferrets. I always use Superior Choice ferret food. I get that at www.theferretstore.com Marshalls food is supposed to be good and also Totally Ferret.

I am a shelter operator and stay away from 8 in 1 products like they are the plague. Although 8 in 1 Ultimate is an okay food, the rest of their products are very poor for ferrets and some could easily be considered dangerous. You should never feed a ferret food that lists corn in the ingredients. I would stay with Totally Ferret as they have great quality controls overall.

Here's a link to a food comparison chart http://www.ferretstore.com/ferfoodcomch.html.

Ferrets need diets high in protein and fat. There are plenty of foods available without any corn meal which can cause severe problems. So, choosing to eliminate corn products is very easy.

No, ferrets want more beneficial potential (fat) content fabric than cat nutrition can grant, I believe that they require a even more beneficial protein concentration. they couldn't procedure carbs ok. Please purchase specifically designed ferret nutrition. I have appeared on a webchat for veterinarians purely and they advise Mazuri, completely Ferret, Marshall Farms or 8-in-a million. i ought to attempt giving them different ferret ingredients and be conscious in the adventure that they prefer one in all those. Many vet web pages advise feeding raw (killed) prey yet you should want to the contact your vet in the previous you're taking that step. If no longer, they could produce different wellness complications and also you should get them on your vet. best of success.

The 8 in 1 Ultimate is a very good food. The other formulas have too much grain.

As long as it has everything they need to stay healthy then I'm sure that it's fine. Do some research on the brand or ask someone when you go to buy it like at petco or petsmart or something - I personally prefer Marshals.
