we have a male and female parakeet. the female's beak looks really strange, it is dry and the bottom part of the beak looks as if it is too wide. the top part of the beak falls inside the bottom. what should i do? is this normal?

i have been adopted by a local cat!!! i kick her out whenever she comes in thru the cat flap but i cant lock it as my cat comes and goes all evening. ive just noticed that she has some ticks on her face, i instantly checked my cat but found none and he is regulaly frontlined. i feel really itchy and paraniod now, i have hoovered my flat, sofa and bed and put bedcovers and towels and stuff in the wash. i have also put up posters to find her real owner, wot else can i do?

I have two kittens, They havent been eating very much latley. They puked once today. And I dont think they have had any shots. They dont have any symptoms for worms. They act normal. They play and are really hyper. Someone told me that they might just not like there food. So me and my husband are going to the store to buy different food. I feed them dry food and wet food already. I made a doctors appointment for them but it's not for 2 weeks. were changing the litter brand. And were going to try to give them kitty formula because they were kinda use to that when we got them. Is there anything else i can do to get them to eat?

I watch "the dog wisperer" with cesar milan and he keeps stressing that when a dog sits on your lap or climbes over you, he establishes dominence over you.

well, i have a 2 y/o yorkie who always has to climb on my lap in order to curl up and sleep, eithr on my legs or on my lap.

I like it cause he keeps me warm, and i'm sure he likes it too.

should I discourage it though, when he does it next time, so he doesn't think he is alpha?

what do u think?

My husband is a truck driver and he found a box of kittens in a truck stop parking lot.4 of them.He took 1 and the other drivers took the rest.I know alot about kittens but I have no idea how to safely get rid of the fleas.I heard along time ago fleas will kill a small kitten.This kitten appears to be only about 4 weeks old.Does not have all of it`s teeth in.I know it`s to little to be away from the mother but is eating good.He`s had it on the road with him for about a week and said it has got fatter.It`s belly is big.How do I safely remove the fleas and flea eggs without cat shampoo which would kill the lil kitten?

Our local humane shelter, is making people wait to adopt black kittens and cats until after Halloween. This is due to people sacrificing them and such, does this still go on today? And two does all humane shelters follow this rule? I was curious because I thought it was a good thing.

I have a weimeraner {breed of dog} and we cant leave her in the house when we arnt there so we put here in a crate. It is very big and spacious! but the whole time were gone all she does is bark!! I feel so guilty leaving her there by herself but i have to! Does anybody know a way to make her not bark or feel so lonely? Thanks for your comments

I have a 14.3hh appendix show jumping gelding that likes to canter really slow. All his life he was a western horse till I got him 3 1/2 years ago and started to ride english with him....and I think thats why he canters so slow. How can I get him to a 12 foot stride for jumping?

I take him out, he relieves himself, but after bringing him in, I'll turn my back for a few minutes and he'll have pooped and/or peed inside the house! How can I correct this behaviour? He's still young but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing to correct this. We crate him at night but we don't want to crate him all day too.

The police just came to my house to tell me that our new neighbors had called the police on us(and it isn't the first time)about out dog. The only reason that they called is because it is a pit bull. Nothing was said about the miniature pinscher. I can't even walk my damn dogs without someone being noisy!

When you kill an animal or just about anything blood comes out, but with bugs normally just green slime comes out. Why is this?
I suppose bugs don't use blood to keep them running? I wasn't where to post this.

My cats and dogs are really mean when it comes to removing fleas. And everything I try dos'nt work. Does anybody have any home flea remeadys that won't get my pets cranky????

I'm married and my husband never had pets growing up, so as adults we adopted two cats and dog. Now the dog has been gone just over three years, and the oldest cat just recently. My husband has taken both deaths very hard. (we have no children) As an animal lover I want to "jump back in", as it were, yet he is reluctant. Should I give him more time to grieve or just move on to another pet? Don't get me wrong, I grieve with him over the loss, yet I know pets don't have the life expectancy that we wish, and I can grieve my pet and love a new one at the same time. I just need to know if I should give him more time or force the issue and adopt a pet.

He always follows me around everywhere and everytime I eat he want's to have what I have. And at night , he cries if he's not in bed with me . He loves to sleep under my chin , sometimes he sucks on my neck and purrs . Does he think I'm his mom or his owner. He cries if someone else is holding him . But not me and my boyfriend. My dog has really bad arthritis and when we seem to be in the winter months, it gets worse. He can't go up and down stairs anymore. He can't move very well. He has a hard time getting up and walking around. Is there anything that I can do or give him to help him and give him some pain relief?

The worms were probably roundworms. I am sort of an obcessive person, so now I have myself convinced that I must have them too! eek. Any help is appreciated. And, if anyone knows, if they are tranferred to humans, what are the symptoms? I can't find what I am looking for online, and there is no vet where I live. Thanks!
