not sure on cost, but i can tell you if you go to your local shelter or humane society they cost tooo much ..... so i dont recommend the shelter... try petsmart just call your local one and ask them how much adoptions are. good luck

it all depends on the breed. go to a local humaine society and get one for free and give them a good home
