She might have mites, but please don't use the mite spray in the stores. Spray means the birds inhale it, and the chemicals are too abrasive on the bird.
In any case, the other people who suggested you go to a vet are correct. But don't go "to get the beak clipped" - go to the vet to see what the VET thinks it is. It could be a number of things, and he's trained to determine the difference between them.
By the way, feed-store and discount store "medicines" and "remedies" are a risk at best. Their results range from the mildly helpful to the damaging and fatal range. I saw a puppy die a couple of weeks ago that had been dipped in a strong flea dip a guy bought at a feed store. It had nerve damage, seizures, body spasms, and brain damage. Those things are not regulated by the FDA.
In any case, the fact that it could be one of several things should be enough to convince you to go to the vet. It could be very serious and lead to your bird's starvation, or it could be very irritating (and contagious to your other birds).

it's not normal and you'll need to have an Avian Vet file it down and try to redirect or retrain it to grow correctly, sometimes they never do. Is the bird able to eat and drink? I'd find a Vet and take the bird in, also you'll need to have yearly test done for certain bacterial and viral diseases they can get even though they're in your home and don't go outside. Sometimes this is caused from genetics and sometimes because there's nothing in the cage to file it themselves, concrete perches are good and vitamin type cuddle bones. kimmeyisahotbabe must not care much about animals

shop the damaged off piece of beak in case you'll locate it . Use some styptic or cornstarch or flour to help end the bleeding. it would want to be conceivable to attach the damaged beak in position using a superglue. you want 2 human beings , one to carry the chook in position and the different to do the gluing. A vet must have a medical version of superglue that would want to be safer for the chook. in case you dont have the damaged section , it would want to be conceivable to make a pretend beak out of plastic or between the baked ceramics like FIMO clay and glue it to the stub of the beak . Many vets dont paintings on such small birds. you are able to properly be ready to feed the chook besides by technique of providing a mash on a spoon , or a feeding syringe. Oatmeal might want to be an emergency nutrition. A paste of water and seeds beaten will paintings too. weigh down the seeds dry and blow gently to eliminate the husks. A puppy shop might want to have a formula for infant birds . it would want to also be ready to feed out of a small dish by technique of using its tongue and top beak . solid success.

Take your keet to the vet or get some mite spray. She may have mites which can cause growths on the beak. Also, keep mineral stones, cuttlebones, and sanded perch covers in their cage. It helps keep their beaks trimmed. They grow just like fingernails.

I'd make sure they always have cuttle bone available. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it. Parakeets only cost abotu $20 so it makes no sense to go to a vet.
