My cat is 6years old cat that is declawed, spayed, all shots, and uses the liter box. She is a short haired multi color indoor cat (black, grey, and white) and I really need to find her a good home. She would really good for someone without children and who has a love for cats. I am trying to find her a home because due to my asthma and allergies I cant keep her any longer. But I love her so much and I really want to find her a good home with some one who will love her and care for her. I live in Knoxville TN and I hope that someone will read this and be able to help me find her a good home.

Do you know of any good sites for the American Marten? I have all my basic notes (description, habits, food, breeding) I just need a couple organizations that help and support the American Marten! If you could help I would be so thankful!
(The information is for a pre-pared public speaking contest that I have on Tuesday!!!)
Help if you can! PLZ!

Me and my kitty moved into a new apartment about a month ago. Things are fine, and she has adjusted well. However, now that it is getting colder outside, I have to turn my furnace on. Whenever it kicks on, she meows like she is in heat! It is so loud and terrible! I have to put her into my bedroom till it kicks off. She is spayed, and she has not acted like this since till now. I don't want my new neighbors to complain about the noise that she makes. But I don't want to freeze either!
I thought maybe she would get used to the extra noise, but the furnace has been on for about 3 days now, and she still doesn't stop. She is 4 years old, so she has lived through winters before and they were nothing like this. HELP!

He's completely healthy other than the vomiting. His stool is very normal and is eating normally. I've been thinking it was his collar bothering him so i took it off him, but i'm not sure. I also have a theory that it might be because he's very afraid of my brother and it might just be a nervous condition he has. His behavior is normal as well, but he hides whenever my brother comes over my house. If anyone has any ideas of what it might be i'm more than happy to hear them.

Can I put them in a large aquarium when they are little or should I start with a twenty gallon and then move them into a 50 gallon? Does it affect them if I start them in the 50 gallon?

I posted a question a little while ago and had mentioned that I use Iams kitten food for my cats. Someone stated:

"it's filthy pet food and IAMS does horrible & cruel testing on animals in appalling conditions and all my family, friends & I are never going to buy iams products..."

What kind am I supposed to buy that will be healthy and does not test on animals? How can there even be any pet food company that doesn't test it on animals? Who would eat the food for them to see if it's even marketable?

We are concerned that our border collie cross is pregnant as a relative has recently taken her for a walk over some fields but a dog has mounted on top of her. She has come into heat today (13.10.2006) but our vet has told me that a dog is in heat 10 days before you see any spots of blood.

I am concerned that if she has puppies that the complications will be too much for her and I have been given some choices of having an injection to abort the puppies or to let her carry on to have them. My 9 year old daughter is hoping that she will have the puppies but have explained the situation and she does understand what can happen so she waiting for us to decide the best solution as the bond between my daughter and our dog is enormous.

I will do what is best for our dog and although I would love her to have puppies I am concerned for her health due to her age.

I just received an aquaruim from a woman on a local free cycle site... she said she kept a gerbil in it at one time.

I just cleaned it the best I could without soap or any other cleaning solution...

I also Iet some water soak in it for about a day and a half before I tried to clean it out to see if any water would leak out.

After I thought I had finished cleaning it, I noticed that there was some residue in the corners in the bottom... It seems very difficult to remove with just water and takes a lot of scratching. Its kind of thin and whiteish... I wonder if it might be gerbil pee.

Is there any way to remove this?

Maybe if there were ever fish in here before could that have left some sort of buildup like this?

...anyways, I guess the real question is how can I make this tank safe for goldfish?
