A dog is ready to breed AFTER she stops breeding and the discharge becomes clear, up to 10 days in some. (I bred show dogs for years), so she's likely not pregnant is she is bleeding-
If she was my dog and I was really attached- I would spay her, healthier for her, and I would not want to worry about what kind of homes her babies would have. By the way, a dog mounting means little, dogs do that without sex- it's often a dominance thing-concern is if they "tied"-

Six years old isn't "too old" for a dog. We have a Walker hound in our shelter right now who is 8 years old and recently had a litter of 7 pups... Besides her age, does your dog have other health issues that cause you concerns? If not, she should get through any pregnancy just fine.
But if you're truly concerned about her health, have her spayed. Then you won't have to deal with the issue at all. Spaying also protects dogs from various forms of cancer.

I would listen to your vet - she was not in heat at the time and definitely not at the stage where she could be bred. Also, did he recommend she be spayed to help prevent her getting cancer?
You might want to explain to your daughter that it would be much better for her dog health wise to be spayed.
If she were to have accidentally been bred, if she's a very active, healthy 6 year old a pregnancy should not harm her, although she is older than the ideal for a first pregnancy.

If he has continually carried out this, then sorry to say yet you ought to have carried out something about it previous to now! All isn't lost notwithstanding, one in each and every of your different solutions exhibits a water bottle if he also does it in the residing house and that is an outstanding idea yet you would possibly want to get the timing accurate, you would possibly want to squirt it at him on the instantaneous he jumps up or is going to bounce up. If he in difficulty-free words does it once you're out then you actually opt to shop him on a lead and back squirt him with water once you spot him flow to bounce up and say a company NO! mutually, desire this helps, solid success! To Bridgette B, how naive and irresponsible so that you'll believe that Corgis are not a topic at the same time as they bounce up because they 'are Corgis and may want to't do something to the human beings' What planet are you on?

SPAY HER!
She can be spayed as soon as she is out of heat even if she is pregnant.
Too many cross-bred, mixed breeds need homes and are killed in shelters every day.
The prostglandin injection would abort her but there is a very substantial risk of her developing cancer later from the drug. They used it a lot 20 years ago.

Six is NOT old for her to breed. Let nature take it's course....if there are no puppies, take this warning to heart and have her spayed---she may well live another 10 years!!!
There is an often-fatal disease that un-spayed females can get where the uterus becomes horribly infected without prior symptoms. Spay her for THAT if nothing else!
Good luck....and scratch her ears for me!

You would have to ask you vet on this one. They would be the ones to help you make the right decision.
Good luck
