I have a sick little Lhasa Apso named George, and the vets' answer to everything here is to give him more and more medicine. He's always been healthy, vibrant and loaded with energy. Last week, I took him to a vet, just for an annual check-up, and the vet gave him a shot to fight tapeworms. She also drew some blood to run some standard tests.
The vet called me the following afternoon, saying George is suffering from kidney failure. Since he was still his normal, happy self, I decided to get a second opinion. The next doc barely did anything (other than more shots & an overnight IV). He's been in agony, practically ever since! He was the happiest doggie in the world & now I worry if he's going to make it through.
Has ANYONE experienced anything like this? I know kidney problems run in his breed, but George never ever had a problem until the vets started pocking at him!
