Then don't let the puppies nurse as long! Trying to express the milk yourself is just stupid. Plus, the mother dog knows when to wean the puppies and I suggest you let her do it. There is no reason for you to have to manage the process.

What reason do you have for rushing the puppies off their mother? What is that about??
Is this a money thang and you are ready to sell the puppies before they are ready to go? They should nurse from her until they are 6 wks old.
Do you have some puppy food out for them to TRY to start eating on? Let nature take it's course. Mama will wean them herself. At least give them a couple of more weeks.

I think she will wean them soon and the milk will dry up. At 4 weeks they should be eating a little puppy food. When they get to the age that they are, their little teeth are sharp and hurt the mother. She will get up and leave them - they will follow and she may or may not let them nurse. Try some baby cereal and puppy formula for them.

Puppies need to be with their mother until they are at least 6 weeks of age in order to get the maximum benefits from the antibodies in the milk. Once they are 6 weeks old take the puppies away from the mother, only then will be milk dry up

The more milk that comes out, the more her body will make. If you want to wean them, suppliment the puppies so that they get enough nutrition, but nurse from the mother dog less.
I wouldn't do this for another 2 to 4 weeks though.

first of all why do you want to limit the amount the pups nurse? as said in other anwsers it is the mothers job to wean the puppies, if you take away the puppies to soon you will have very ill pups and as adult they can develope illness due to weaning them to early,,, It is best to let the mother wean them her self, she will know when that time is she will show signs that she is weaning them,,, when that time comes she will get up and not let them nurse as long as she has before and then she will just stop letting them nurse at all

They have pills to dry the milk up, after the puppies have weaned, of course.

well they dont make breat pumps for dogs , but the pups will stop when they are full, or you can just pull them off yourself once you feel like they have had enough but with them only being a month old they still need the colostrum that the mom is producing to build and boost their immune system , if you pull them off to soon you will have some sick pups on your hands

uh, you don't. She'll wheen them when she thinks their old enough. Removing the milk would only stimulate her to lactate more, not to mention possibly causing ill effects to her litter. They need that milk to develop healthy immune systems.

Why on earth would you want to limit this? I would love to hear an answer to this.
