When dogs are fixed they don't seem as apt to wander off as much. Also if your dog is under a year or around a year, it takes until about a year of age or so for puppy hyperness to settle down some. Ithink there are more pros to having her fixed than not. I also have a small male dashcund who is now 12 yrs old. We were glad that we had him fixed. We felt he was much better. good luck
