If you have a fireplace, light it up..and set him near it.
Buy him a puppy sweater, a soft one, not those itchy ones! No dogs like those!!
Let his hair grow a bit..especially since it's getting near December, it's only going to get colder! When you sit down to watch T.V. grab a blanket, wrap him up in it, and cuddle with him.
=)

My dogs are Dobermans, (short hair of course) spoilled rotten, and I've worn dog sweaters on them during the winter months ever since they were pups and they are now 8 & 10 years old.Get your baby a sweater at any pet store.

Get a blanket for him. If he's cold outside, bring him in. Has he had his shots? I have an adult Staffordshire Bull Terrier and let him sleep on a heating pad when it's really cold out.

We used to put our puppy under our shirts against our skin to make her feel secure and get warm from our body heat.
Don't listen to eejits (idiots) who tell you to do things that will kill your innocent little puppy.
You sound like a wonderful, caring puppy parent!

My dog has the same problem. We tried getting a dog sweater for her. She didn't like it so we just wrap her in a blanket and she seems to like that.
