matting problems with a long haired cat?

I found a 20 gallon fish tank at a thrift store for $7.99 canadian money. I was wondering if I bought this tank and bought the rest of the requirements for a freshwater aquarium, would it be cheaper than buying a whole set (starter kit) at a pet store of stores like Wal-Mart??

Im remodiling my house and im really worried for my birds. They look skinner. I put food and water and i change their cage and i take very good care of them. But im worried that they are afraid of the sounds that the workers do, and im afraid they are sick from the dust and all that. What should i do? PLEASE HELP!

my lurcher has always been of a good nature and has been quite happy to trot along next to live stock without harrasing them, however i left my lurcher with a friend for a week who also has a whippet(previously used for killing) while i went on holiday, i have been back 3 weeks and a family member took him to the same field as always and the sheep were out this time, he attacked the flock, i believe my "friend: took him to kill with his whippet while i was away and so he now has the taste for them.
i need to stop this straight away but i cant seem to find any help on how i go about doin this, i am goin to take him to the same field and keep him on the lead and get him to get close to the sheep whilst tellin him no and leave it which he responds too the majority of the time, wil this work? or is there anything else i can do?

My goldfish live in a 2ft cubed household bowl in my house and fed regularly on fish flakes. I have two that are aged at least 10 years. How long can I expect them to still be swimming around?

Now that its getting colder outside we've started noticing that our pets have a slight flea problem. Well, we bought flea shampoo and bathed them throughly, then when they dried we put flea collars and that flea spread on them, and let them baCk into the house.
Well, since then, our downstairs living room has been INFESTED with fleas. And I'm not over exagerating either, I just walked down there and my feet turned black!
We've tried to mix flea shampoo and water in a spray bottle and get rid of them that way, we've tried bowls of water to trap them [whioch helped, but only pushed them back towards the laundry room].
The dogs dont go downstair, but still we cant go downthere either!!

HELP!

this before, could be kennel cough, but cough wasn't that severe, could be bronchitus, but no fever, & cough not constant, wheezes when breathing in, barks like he's hoarse. She gave meds hydrocodone to suppress the cough & clavamox for antibiotics. Now 3 1/2 month old IG f has started hacking and wheezing (hasn't barked today, so don't know if she is hoarse too). The vet told me only to bring the one that was sick, which I did, & if baby got it, would give me additional meds, just to call in. Called in as soon as I realized baby had it too, only to get the emergency vet, which said they can't dispense anything without a bunch of tests first. Should I give the baby an appropiate portion of the meds to her weight, until tomorrow, she is about 1/2 the weight of the 7 yo. Help! I am ticked that this vet said all I'd have to do is call if the other one got sick, which she didn't think she would, I could have brought her in friday. Now have 2 sick dogs who sound terrible. Any advise?

my dog licks people like crazy when they come over and licks my child and me and my hubby and i cant freaking stand it anymore.... I have to lock the dog up if anyone comes over because she litteraly will like lick them for five hours, I dont understand, She is a very affectionate loving dog is this why ? or AND HOW DO I GET HER TO STOP! ? ! ? !
so far ive tried to pull her tounge out and say no!!
and ive tried to hold her mouth shut and say no!! all repeated for like months and nothing has changed.. Please help.. We got her just over a year ago so she is not very old, but... still this is driving everyone i know crazy and no one can stand to even come over unless she locked away.

my kitten was not taken at 4 months old, he was taken at 3 weeks old... he is constantly sucking on our skin, although it is sweet and we dont mind..its sad because we feel like its something he needs in his development. Plus it hurts ! he is 4 months old now.. any suggestions. ??

She is a one-year old spayed female, whom we've had since she was eight weeks old. She has always used the litter box like a champ; however, about a week ago, she pooped on the carpet. It didn't happen again, so I dismissed it. A few minutes ago, I was stretched out on the sofa, she jumps on top of me and PEES ON MY LEG!!!!! Can someone help me!? What is going on with this cat!? Her litter box is perfectly clean. She has plenty of food and water, and we shower her with attention! She has been acting rather strangely lately, meowing a lot for no reason. HELP!!!
