this is a wonderful site for all birdkeepers from around the world the question today is are you AMERICAN? then when you ask a question give a zip code ( or a post code as in great britian) i you may find other birdkeepers living not far away, this would be a chance to visit, see different birds in different enviroments but most important you will all learn from each other.

Sorry, this isn't a message board or a chat room. There are many of them for bird lovers. Try one of those because you can't chat here.

It's a good idea, but perhaps a better idea would be to pose a question that involves "what bird clubs are around your area, or what bird societies or bird rescues do you support?"
That way one could post the website address and directly hook into the information and services of these organizations available to them in their area.
This would give people access to already well-established organizations that they can join and support as well as learn from.
It would be far more efficient and it would raise awareness of Bird and Parrot Organizations already in existence.

I don't think its a good idea to be meeting people that way, it could be dangerous.

This is an excellent idea. Hopefully the nutcases that abound here online are not birders....smiling.
