funny story,
one time mine got out...
i found it in the vaccum eating crud

anyway, what you can do is get a plastic bag (like a wal-mart bag)
and put some hamster food in there, and set it on the ground
the hamster will get into it and when you hear it pull the bag out and he/she will be inside!!

CALM down, just look around the room, make sure the doors are closed. Calmly proceed, take everything out of each draw. But before u do that--think of what container the animal will go in and have that all ready- because when you find him---it will be seconds before he goes running again.
My gerbil and mouse got loose in the house--but I handled it.

Good Luck!

Peanut butter on a cracker and wait quietly. Don't put a lot of loose food out for it though because it'l pack it's jaws and go hibernate for days or even weeks. I liked that bag idea too.

take a little bit of food and put it in one corner of the dresser drawer that is up front and when he comes to it grab him, if this doesn't work try a net or just reach in and grab him.
