I have 2 turtles and i never see them eat. i got them the floating pellets from walmart. i don't know if they are eating and i'm not seeing it or what.. they were a gift to me and i'm trying to learn more about how to proper take care of them...also since they are just babies do they need less water in their tank i have just an inch of water now becuase when i put more water in they stay on the rock that put in there and they won't get in the water unless its shallow. also what wattage of the UV lamp do i need to have for them...since they are only babies and do i need to be giving them vitatmins or something i read somewhere about a calcium thing you put in the water and it disolves but i'm lost...please help me they are adorable but i want to do this right...oh and how do i keep down the risk of me gettin salmonela besides washing my hands after I handle them...thank you thank you, thank you!!!

I live with 4 cats, 2 girls & 2 boys, ( 1 of each is 2 in nov, younger two is 1 in 2 weeks ) ( but oldest boy has been missing since june ) all of them are from the same mother cat ( 2 different litters ) Would it be alright for my youngest cat which is pregnant to be around her siblings after shes had her litter or would it be best to keep them away at 1st?

I bought golden fishes about two weeks ago.
Then I use Sera Costapur(first day, third day, fifth day and I changed to 1/4 aquarium's water on the seventh day.
On the prospectus normal dosage: on the 1st and 3rd day add 22 drops for each 40 litres(10.5 US gal.) of aquarium water, in serve cases dosage again on the 5th and 7th day.
A slight increase in temperature aeration the same time will speed up the healing process.
But they still ill. I don't understand nothing.

I don't have the receipt anymore. He is a freshwater fiddler? crab and ate one of my fish and now one is pregnant so I think he will probably eat the eggs when she lays them. He is an annoyance. Will they take him back and refund my money without the receipt?

I called the vet and they said that we could try feeding them and we did and they ate like crazy. I try to give them water to drink but they aren't doing to well on laping. I am afraid they won't get enough fluids even though we make the mom nurse them at least two times a day. Why do you think she is stopping nursing already? It just seems real early to me.

I have a relative who is a caretaker for animals who need rehabilitation. He allowed me to take home a 4 year old chimp named Jerry for a couple of weeks to get a feel for what he does so that I may be able to help him with the facility. I admit I did not know much going into this, and the first week went great. I fed him bananas all the time and Cocoa Puffs for breakfast if he behaved just like on the commericals. But lately he has been getting very ill and has constant diarrhea. I tried Sprite as that settles me stomach after I have been drinking heavily and have beer shits. He was fine Saturday night, some friends and I played poker and Jerry watched tv and had some chimp burritos I got him from Taco Bell. I put banana in it to make it healthier. He is getting worse and the burritos are help and neither is the Subway sandwich I got him that has veggies and some banana I added. What could be causing the illness?

Does anyone else get fed up with people answering cat (and pet questions for that matter) when they don't like animals?

Why are these people even in this category if they don't like animals?

People ask for help and the general response is "drown them, or kill them".

So, why are you here if you can't help?
