He has Advantage for fleas. I have not seen any on him. What could be the problem? Any advice or thoughts on what his condition could be?

My friend keeps her pet mouse in the same cage as her two pet rats. Since they've been together the cage has been giving off this horrible stink. Does something about the two species react in a weird way? It seems to get worse when she leaves...could that be because they are scared?

I feel so embarrassed that I dont want to take him out any more, which is a shame because he needs to have exercise and meet other dogs and people. He tries to attack other dogs, should I get him neutered? would this help to calm him down??

We use to give her people food, but now we have decided against it because it's bad for her, but how do we make her stop asking for some when we're eating?

I have seen a few of these dogs before and cannot figure out what breed they may be. They have similar features to the Chow Chow, but are much larger in size. The dog I'm speaking of has a large body full of copper brown hair with a face resembling a teddy bear. The face is surrounded by a huge bush of hair all over it. I've looked online and in dog breed books, but I cannot find the exact look-alike for this dog. Like I said, it does resemble a Chow Chow but they usually don't have the same color fur as this dog and this dog was much bigger than I think Chow Chow's get. Anyone have any idea as to what this teddy bear faced dog could be?

Amelia, our 14 pound cat, whom we got at the humane society is almost 3 years old. She's a great cat but evern with constant clippings and scrating time, she would get stuck on carpets, bed linen and cat toys. my husband decided to have her declawed tosave our door frames and to helpher from getting hooked up on things. She came home and is very unstable and I think she may have thrown up. She's hiding right now. When she first came home an hour ago she used the litter box and ate a little moist food. She usually only eats dry food and treats but I wanted to give her something special. I guess that was a mistake.
What' done is done, but I sure would like to make Amelia more comfortable if possible. Ideas are welcome.

As a follow-up to my last question; I did buy the Zodiac Spot On, but promptly returned it to the store and asked for Frontline Plus. Thanks to the person who reminded me that they don't keep it with the other supplies....I'd completely forgotten that I used to see it in a case at our old pet store.

The infestation isn't bad enough to warrant bombing my home....we didn't even know she had fleas. The vet couldn't even find any on her, he just knew she had it because of the FAD.

Anyways, I got the Frontline Plus instead of the Advantage because Advantage only kills adult fleas. Now onto my question....

I applied the Frontline Plus to both of my cats. It says to avoid topical application, so I got down to the skin like I was supposed to. However, in mid-application, my male moved, so some of it got on his fur. Now there's a greasy spot there....should I wipe it away with a rag, or not worry about it?

At night my neighbour’s cats fight in our back garden. I think they class it as 'neutral' territory and fight as per nature. The noise they make has woken me up several times now and it's getting to be a bit of a pain in the neck.

Anyone have any 'humane' suggestions as to how to get them to stop please?

Local cats are coming through my garden and are using our garden as not only a toilet but also they are often fighting each other and "singing" during the night. Now some of you out there may find these animals loveable but I however really can not tolerate any more of their late night X-factor style auditions. Please let me know what are the most cost effective way is of removing these foul creatures from my garden, thanks.

I just her groomed Monday, and they cleaned her bottom out, they said that she might rub her bottom on the ground, and she does alot and she just sets on it. Shes usually really hyper, and the last two days she has been just laying around. She wont even get out of her bed. Yesterday her stomach was making weird noises. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with her, or what I can do for her?????

They won't stop rough housing. My adult cat meows like a maniac. I know they're playing, but they're knocking stuff over and being crazy! Should I separate them, or is that not worth it?

Okay, We got a puppy when she was 8 ,months old and managed to train her to use pee pads. She was very good at it and it didn't take that long. My roommate decided he wanted to train the dog to use a litter box. She's about a year old now. We thought the most logical thing would be to put the pee pad in the litter box, but now, she pee's on the floor where the pads used to be. Any suggestions how I can get her to use the litter box. She's a chihuhua-pom mix.

The chef at my restaurant says that fresh brewed coffee that sits in the pot starts to deteriorate in quality after sitting for only 15 minutes. Seems like a little too quick for me. What do you coffee experts thing of this chef's statement.

I have a pet seagull at work. He knocks on my window with his beak when he wants me to feed him. One of my fellow employees threatened to feed the seagull an alka-seltzer hidden in some food. The old story is that an Alka-seltzer will kill a seagull by making him explode. Supposedly they can't burp out the gas created by the Alka-seltzer. Anyone know if this is fact, or fiction?
