I think that if someone killed a pet it should be considered murder.

I have a Pit bull terrier mix and when she sleeps it seems as if she's having a really exciting dream! She whimpers and makes noises and quivers.Is this normal or should I take her to the vet?

We have a 10 week old beagle puppy. I am really tired of being his favorite chew toy. He has plenty of toys, chew sticks, etc. but his favorite thing to chew is people. He even chews my hair. Please - advice on best ways to stop this behavior would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Currently there are sex offender registries. What would you think about one for convicted animal abusers? That way, they cannot adopt another animal and get the offender the needed psychological help. There is a VERY VERY strong link between those that are abusive toward animals and those who are abusive to people. Most serial killers have a history of animal torture and abuse too.

We just got a new kitten, a female. She's just a few months old. She is black with a white-tipped tail. Has green eyes (although I'm not sure she will retain that eye color). Any suggestions for her? I think we'd go for something that sounds more cool than "cutesy." But cutesy names are welcome, too.

Hi

i have 10 feeder fish in a 40 gallon tub of water. I changed the water in the tank and about 7-10 hours later it has such a foggy look to it and a verry strong smell of ammonia. If anyone has any clue why this is happening so fast and what i can do about it let me know.

My dog has a lot of chew toys: raw hides, bones, squeaky dealies, those rope things you tug at... and yet he continues to chew on video tape covers on the rack, low lying plant leaves, stuff out of the garbage can especially toilet paper, and magazines...how can i get him out of the habit....is it even possible or are dogs just like that...

and i dont just want to walk with him all the time or run. i'm getting bored of that. and i'm only 13 so i cant go to the beach (which is far from where i live). and he never wants to do anything. he's bored of playing with his friend, he doesnt want to play with the frisbee or a ball or anything. he just lays all day. and when i do take him to the beach he doesnt swim. i cant take him to a beach where people go because thats illegal. and i dont have a pool. plus he can drink the clorine and get sick. all the other dogs are active and swim but mine just sits all day snapping at flies. i'm getting sick of it already. and theirs nothing fun that i can do with him. i dont want to run all the time or walk. also today we were at a park next door to me and i was trying to throw the ball and he's just sniffing at something then this one dog came and when the dog came to play my dog just went away then when the dog was playing fetch with his owner my dog went to the other dog again then left.

I lost my cat 2 days ago and I can't find her. I think she snuck out, so I showed almost everyone in the neighborhood her picture and even put up $50 reward flyers on dumpsters (we live in the outskirts of a big town). Is there anything else I can do? I've had her for 3 years, since I was 10, and I've always been responsible for her and love her dearly. She's a calico cat with a unique print, so I would assume people would recognize her photo. What else could I do for her?

I have a problem. I just got a dog and she is two years old. The problem is, she bites and pees everywhere. We could take her for long walks and she's used the restroom and then come inside and just pee all over. She doesn't have a problem with her bladder, we got that checked. But we can't stop it. She is currently in a crate, but that isn't working either. We scold her so often, praise her when she's done well....nothing works.

Also, she chews on everything. We have lost shoes, her dog bed, papers...everything. I can't get her to stop at all. I really need help. Because if I don't get it, I have to get rid of her and I don't want to do that.

YES THEY WILL! Just ask me! I have a dog whom I only kennel when its raining outside and I've got to work, beleive me will he/she **** and piss in that 2', 4' kennel "cage". I was reading through the "spanking your puppy" questions, and this was the #1 answer, " put it in a crate, it will not potty in the same space it lives", well as penn and teller would say "BULL CRAP!" How come when we open the sliding door.. my cat tends to escape and he goes out side.. but he doesnt run away.?? Our neighbor does have a dog and my cat gets excited when shes out.. even if shes not out he;s still outside.. He would lay in the sun like nothing is wrong by the neigbors fence or in our front yard. He's a house cat.. is he just curious whats out there? Sometimes its sooo funny he would manage to get out the fint door and goes to the backdoor waiting to get back in LOL.. would he run away one day..?? :(
