This is a tricky question. Technically, I would say it is never too late to neuter. However, elderly dogs do not respond to anaesthesia as well as younger ones. The risks of surgery in a very old dog could very well outweigh any possible benefits.

Basically, if the dog is physically well enough to go through the surgery without major risks, you can have it done at any age.

Its never to late to neuter your dog. Male dogs can breed up until the day they die where as females stop heat at around age 10. So if you want to neuter your dog, any time is a good time!

It's never too late to neuter a dog! We usually recommend neutering between 4 and 6 months of age, to prevent those heinous marking behaviors and reduce the chances of contributing to the overpopulation problem, but it's never too late. As long as your dog is relatively healthy and the vet feels that your dog can safely undergo anesthesia for surgery, go for it! It will help prevent testicular cancer, prostate disease/cancer, and other hormone related diseases.

It's never too late - even dogs that are considered seniors can still be neutered.

its never too late to neuter a dog but if you dont want a dog that pees everywhere or that humps other dogs or thats dominate or aggressive, it's best to neuter it when its a puppy. if it is over 3 its still going to do that.

You can neuter your dog whenever you want to. I heard that it's best to neuter them when they are a puppy. But, if you want to learn and know more about it, it's best to call up your vet and ask =).
