My cat is 6 months old, I'm not home all day so i wanted to get my cat a companion so she could play with. I saw some kittens behind my grandmas house and wanted to take one so they can play together but i dont know. My cat is really friendly and very comfortable with people but if i get a new kitten im scared she'll back away from human contact or even being so affection.

He'll meow, and meow, and meow, until we walk downstairs with him, and pet him by his food. Is this kind of behavior normal in cats? He's part siamese, and I heard they're noisy, does that have something to do with it?

I'm not really worried about it, 'cause it's actually kinda cute, but I am curious to hear what other people think.

My husband asked my today if big cats like tiger, lions, bob cats, and cougar poop like house cats. What I mean is do they dig a hole and fill it back up with dirt (or sand, or something)? I know it's a weird and goofy question, but we really want to know. Thanks so much everyone that takes the time to read and answer my question! Have a great night!

I live with a couple who have a large, 6 month old black lab puppy that they are crate-training. The dog sometimes obeys, but usually only when a treat is used.

The dog jumps up on ppl, steals/eats shoes, jumps up on to the kitchen counters (AND steals food right out from under our noses!), jumps on the dining room table, takes things from people, and bites!

The couple doesn't seem to effectively discipline him (if at all) when he behaves badly; he sometimes wears a collar that delivers a very mild shock and they advise a knee to the chest when he jumps on ppl but they don't do it.

I love animals and believe rewarding good behaviour and punishing bad behaviour *consistently*. I don't see that happening here... yet this dog's behaviour is totally unacceptable!

How can I initiate or participate in effective training since it isn't MY dog?

How do I handle this diplomatically?

What are some good tools/tips for training the puppy?

What should I do?!?

I am going bonkers!!

My hermit crab seems to be to big for its shell. It looks and acts like it wants to get out but cannot. I need to know what I can do. I thought about taking a nut cracker and cracking the shell trying not to harm the crab and hoping he will go into the bigger shell that I have for him. Please let me know what I can do...??? It would be greatly apprechiated.

We moved 4 months ago, he was meowing alot then, whining really. Then became more and more hoarse. Now he croaks instead of meows ! Should I be concerned ? Or hope that he settles down eventually and gets his voice back.
