If you mean that your lab is limping and that he is over weight, your dog could have hip dysplasia or he could have injured his hip joint, it is hard to tell because you did not say when the limping started or how long the dog has been limping or how heavy the dog is - you need to have the dog checked out by a vet and possibly an X-Ray taken and ask the vet to recommend a supervised weight reduction diet that is healthy for your dog and find out if the dog can exercise with the damaged leg or joint.

What's bothering him? Is it his paw? Did you check to see if he has anything in it? If so, you need to get it out. Did he perhaps sprain something? Does he have any swelling? If so, you need to put an ice pack on it for about 10 mins., take it off for about 20 and repeat a couple of times to help take the swelling down. You also need to keep him confined - don't let him run at all or walk more than necessary. If it's not better in a day or so, or if he gets worse, he needs to go to the vet sooner, not later.

Limpy? I am assuming you mean he is limping, which is a bad thing- he could have one of a variety of problems going on ffrom minor to very serious.

I mean no disrespect- You may be really busy, but the dog depends on you as its owner for its care. I would imagine that most people would not want to be told they have to wait, possibly in pain and limping for a visit to a doctor because their caretaker or loved one is too busy with work to take them in. There are vet offices with extended office hours, emergency vet clinics, as well as coworkers of friends that could possibly take the dog in for you.

Do not make your beloved pet wait. Get him to see as vet as soon as posisble. You can also call a vets office after hours or tomorrow and let them know what the dog is doing, and at least have them tell you what could be the problem, and give you advise in the meantime.

go to the petstore and buy some bandage wrap. Its really cool. Make a splint. Might be just a sprain. If your dog chews on it...u might need an e-collor of forget the idea.

could be hip dysplasia. the leg bone is dislocated from his hip bone.

You also need to place your dog on a diet. Its overweight. It will aggravaite the limping.

If the dog is old it might have canine arthritis.

Sorry but you just did not give enough information.. Is the dog old? Are its paw nails too long? Was he hurt by a car? someone kick him? Does he have arthritis? Sorry but I just do not have any information from you.
