We have her out for 1hr before we go to work and let her out when we get home while is at least 5 to 6 hrs before we get ready for bed. We plsy with her in those hrs for sometime or she hangs with us. We also let her have a 'sleep over ' at least once a week. On the weeks she out most of the time Is this enough I hope I dont know what else to do

thats all on you, we do the same with our springer spainels. As long as they have food water and shelter during the day its all on you how long to let them run free

Is there a reson why the dog is not allowed to sleep in the home with the owners every night? Labs are not really outside dogs, they love tobe with people. Why is the dog forced to sleep alone apart from the family? I own seven large dogs and I would never let them sleep away from me and my bedroom. I can understand her being in her run while everyone is at work and the weather is nice however I cannot understand a dog being left in a run when the family is home. Dogs are peoples companions and it is lonely in a run - how would you like to be in the garage while the rest of the family is in the house away from you and you know that you did not do anything wrong yet you are being ignored and kept apart from the family - why have a pet if you arae going to allow it to sleep alone 6 out of 7 nights per week?

I let my dog out when im getting ready for work i let her outside for an hour then spend time with her shes in the house at least 5 hours i get home let her out for an hour or till she barks to come back in with us rest of night she hangs out with us she sleeps on my bed shes a spoiled black lab
