No, there is no such thing as a cabbit. What you've probably heard of as being a "cabbit" is likely a rabbit called a Lionhead Rabbit. It's a small breed rabbit who like it's name suggests has a "mane" of fur around it's head. However, that's as far as the similarities go between the species.

Actually yes, a CABBIT is such a thing. We used to own one... I lived in the country, in Ohio, and our neighbour bread them...some would come out with the hind ends being more rabbit like, with their back legs and tails like the rabbit, a cat body, with ears slightly bigger. And some had regular back legs and tails...weird, yes but TRUE for sure...God made almost all animals not able to mate... but he missed the Cat and Rabbit. This creature has been around for centuries...

The two species cannot interbreed. Nor can jackrabbits and antelope mate to produce the ever-famous "Jackalope". But us old westerners used to have a lot of fun with folks from back east by faking a stuffed jackalope. Had a lot of 'em convinced it was real, lol

No. If they did have something like that, it'd be ALL OVER the news. But here's for wishing for new species.

she was upset that they killed it because she thought it was probably cute and didn't deserve to die.
