She has never been pregnant, has never been outside. The area around her teats is swollen and hard, and she is acting very lovey right now (like she does right before she comes in heat). What can I do for her? Will this go away on its own?

Both of my cats and my dog shed A LOT. I have heard that certain triggers can cause excessive shedding and that there may be certain types of food that can help relieve it. Any causes or suggestions for food? I have already tried purina, Iams, Science Diet, and your typical Wal mart variety foods.

My dog becomes irritable whenever I touch the left side of her face. There seems to be a little blue cloudiness in her left eye--she is only 4 years old and the reason I am concerned is my other dog had this "bluishness" in both eyes, but the vet said she could see sufficiently. Are there any kinds of test I can give her, before being concerned and taking her to the vet. Her right eye seems fine for now.

I just decided last night to start donating a small amount to them each month. I signed up online. Now I'm starting to realize their website is crappy. Does anyone else donate? Do you hate their website? Do you get anything cool for becoming a monthly donor? Just wondering.

I love animals and want to help out as much as I can.

When I went to the vet with my 2 yr old dog she remarked on the beautiful condition of her coat, how well she looked and commented on her good nature.

The vet asked what I feed her on and I was embarressed to say anything but she loves, apples, bannanas, strawberries, cherries, mangos, oranges
greek yogurt, pasta, rice, sardines, salmon, all meats, salami, pitta bread , cat food-but doesn't like tinned dog food!

When we have our meals she looks for hers too.

At night when she feels it's time to go to bed she jumps on my bed and moves the quilt so she is covered and lays her head on my pillow-it's true! During the night if she gets cold she will whine until I let her get under my quilt and then she lays beneath it, pushes up against my legs with her head popping out of the end of the quilt.

I know she is a lovely dog and she doesn't have a weight problem however, is she normal or confused? Does anyone else have a dog that has these human traits and food preferences?

I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is 8 1/2 years old and has a slight heart murmer. She has bladder stones and one is the size of a golf ball. She is having an operation at the moment to remove them. What are the chances that she either won't come round from the anasthetic or will have a complication with the operation? I love her to bits and am very worried about her.

A Cruel Hunt That Must Be Stopped
Canada's annual seal hunt is the largest slaughter of marine mammals on the planet. This year the Canadian government allowed fishermen to club and shoot more than 330,000 baby seals in the North Atlantic, just to earn a few extra bucks by selling seal skins. Last year, 98.5% of the seals killed were two months of age or younger—and veterinary reports indicate that many seals have been skinned while still conscious and able to feel pain.
Is the Seal Hunt Cruel?
Yes. In 2001, a report by an independent team of veterinarians who studied the hunt concluded that governmental regulations regarding humane killing were neither being respected nor enforced, and that the seal hunt failed to comply with Canada's basic animal welfare standards. Shockingly, the veterinarians found that in 42% of the cases they studied, the seals had likely been skinned alive while conscious.
