we have a 10week old aussie sheppard (we've had her almost 4 weeks now) and she loves to chew on people. i had a dog when i was younger that would play chew on you and if she actually started applying pressure we would just say "ow that hurts" and she would stop and "apologise" and i would like the new puppy to one day be like that. right now she loves to try to bite noses and lips and loves to gnaw on hands and arms, and in the past week has started chasing after us and grabbing the legs of our pants. when she starts biting, we say no and take our hands away, and if she bites hard we say ow and tell her she's not our friend and ignore her for a few minutes, but it doesnt seem to be working. i've even given her a tap on the nose once when she bit really hard, but that just seemed to make her want to bite more. any suggestions? i dont believe in hitting them, even with the newspaper. i've heard there is a way to roll their bottom lip in so they bite themselves, does it work?help!

We just found out our pom has been having skin irritations because he has allergies -- to something. The problem is, we don't know what yet. Before I start the process of elimination, I thought I'd ask if anyone else's poms have allergies and what they ended up being allergic to. Thanks.

Right now I'm trying to crate train my mastiff mix (80 pound 11 month old puppy) and he's not liking it too much. He has never done his business in the house except for the first day he was here.

Also, he doesn't like *any* toys or treats I give him. Kongs, Bones. He does seem to love real chicken guts.

Sometimes when I walk to work, this annoying dog barks at me, startling the heck out of me (since I don't know when he is there and he's behind this big wooden fence) and he tries to burrow under the fence so I can see his snout (black lab i think).

I hate dogs and I hate that he's so stupid and barks at me every time he's there. I want to stomp on his nose or something (of course i wouldn't). I really hate dogs and I know talking to dog owners is pointless - they just think you're weird, but I really hate dogs and this is exactly why I hate them.

One friend told me to feed it a dog treat but I don't want to encourage it. I want to drop something smelly or icky on the sidewalk as i pass so he learns to leave me alone whenever I pass by. Or something! help me please I really really hate dogs!!

I don't want it to tear up the furniture. Is it a good idea to go to the animal shelter and get one that has already been declawed? I will never again declaw a cat. It was a mistake .(I was much younger) If one has been declawed by another person and needs a wonderful home I have lots of love to give. Any downfalls to this. I do not wnat to get attached to a pet and give it up.

I don't think he's lost any more blood than we would cutting our nails too short. I just want to stop the bleeding but I'm not sure if dressing it would help.

She has been potty trained since she was a kitten. She has never done this until a couple of months ago. We got a new cat a year ago, but this is really recent. She poops in the hallway about twice or three times a week. Sometimes she poops in the living room. What gives? She has plenty of water and I haven't changed her food brand (purina one). Please help, I want to keep her but I can't keep dealing with this.

I am thinking about buying one of those automated cat box cleaners, but I have heard many bad things about them, I would certainly love not having to scoop up my kitties poopy every day but.. I also don't want to waste my money on a product that doesn't work very well. Anyone who has one or has had one, please let me know, thanks.
