If you want to buy your dog a fancy dress outfit then it's up to you..but dogs already have fur coats and will feel very hot with over clothing on

Only if it is Winter time and very cold outside. Then I'd go for it. Otherwise, clothes on a dog is just a pathetic way of the owners to stroke their own egos by forcing their animals into clothes so they can parade them around in the hot weather and hear people say how "adorable" he/she looks. In the meantime , the dog or cat is usually in misery. But hey, anything in the name of fashion .. right ? Good luck ! :)

Just make sure the dog isn't uncomfortable or over heating then go for it, I think it's so cute!! Although personally I'd just buy human clothes from a thrift store instead of dog clothes, much cheaper.

I think it is wrong to put clothes on a dog. They may look cute and act like it is okay and maybe you did it as a child, but God gave them fur for a reason! They are not dress up dolls and they don't like to be carried around in purses either!

Dogs already wear fur coats. I think it's absurd to put clothes on a dog. Get a baby doll if you want to dress something.

Putting clothes on animals might be cute, but in my opinion, I think it's ridiculous. If animals needed clothes, most of the land animals wouldn't have fur. Well, for the exception of the naked mole rats, hairless dogs and hairless cats. But buying clothes for an animal with fur seems pretty ludicrous to me.

GOD gave them fur on their body and that should be enough.Putting them clothes somehow puts in doubt the intelligence of GOD . However if the dog is used to make a show or a film it is acceptable since it is only for a precise time.

My dog was mostly bald for awhile (until the thyroid medicine kicked in), so I made him wear a sweater to keep from getting cold. And I made him a Halloween costume because I thought it would be funny. But other than that, his fur and collar are clothing enough.

Dogs come with built in clothes. If you feel that you must put clothes on dogs I would do it during the winter or cooler months so that you don't over heat the dog.

I think that some dogs that have extremely short hair or no hair should wear sweaters etc. if they live in very cold climates and are outside frequently. If it's hot outside, don't make your dog wear clothing. We put a shirt on our dog sometimes to prevent her from chewing on her elbows, which are really raw because she always scratches and chews them.
