I like my male better than my sister's female. He's not as "high maintenance" - like someone else said you don't have to worry about putting diapers on them and you don't have worry about them being in heat.
My Cooper was easy to train and is very good tempered. My sister's dog basically trained my sister! Sofie is not nearly as easy going as Cooper is.
It may just all depend on the dog though.

No, but they just think they are because girl chihuahuas ask them to do all the heavy lifting and open jars of mayonaise.

Girl chihuahuas are definetly smarter!

Some people say that male dogs are more sociable and people centered than female dogs, but really it depends on the dog and what you are looking for. Thats a personal Preferance. Good luck

I have two male chihuahuas and I love them! : )
I prefer males over females because you don't have to worry about putting diapers on them and keeping htem inside when they're in heat.

Only in regards to whether they lift their legs on your furniture. Both can be equally hard to housebreak, bark all day and be nasty with people and other dogs unless you train them right!
