In a week's time, you can feed as many as 25 worms... when feeding and collecting worms.. do be careful...Harvesting earthworms is relatively easy, but care must be taken to collect them from areas free from pesticides and herbicides. The worms should be rinsed clean before being offered to the garter. To prevent the worms from becoming coated with loose substrate, place them in a small shallow bowl or jar lid.

I would put 15 to 20 in the tank depending on the size of your snake. Let it eat how much it wants, then remove the rest. I did not feed it crickets, my last one died and the vet said NO crickets. Pinkies are little newborn mice with no hair, ugly little things. Not something you need to feed this type of snake.

Feed it as much worms as it will eat. Don't know about crickets, as I never fed those to my pet snakes. Pinkies are newborn mice, usually available alive or frozen from your local pet store.
Hope this helps!

Pinkies are newborn mice, and yes, newborn mice are pink, that's why they call them pinkies. They can be bought alive or dead, frozen, have to thaw them and let them become room temperature before feeling though. Buy from a pet store though, wild ones carry many diseases!
