I mean I have been chopping them up.. basicly mashing them but is this ok for him? He seems to love it!

Yes, bananas are a good snack, but should be given in limited quantaties. They are high in sugar and high on the glycemic index (cause blood glucose to rise) so you should only give a little, every now and then. Other good snacks are carrots and green beans. Just remember that any food you give, whether it is healthy or not, adds to the caloric intake and the regular dog food should be adjusted down to accomodate the snacks.

oh yeah, a lot of dogs love bananas. just make sure to cut them up pretty small so he doesn't choke, mashing is okay, but it can get kinda gummy when they try to swallow and you wouldn't want him to choke.

Our last dog was inherited and she ONLY wanted scraps (because her old owners fed her so many scraps).... i just got a Chi and swore NOOOOOOO people food.... but we have raspberries growing,she sneaks them and she just Loves them.... but i have heard it is common for dogs to enjoy banannas also.
