My cat tends to run into objects, like a refrigerator door or a wall, before he rubs up against them. He'll do that when he rubs up against people, too. Is there something wrong with his eyes or is he just even weirder than he is now?

Or insane?

A friend of mine has sadly suffered the loss of two kittens (R.I.P. Cleopatra & Caesar) from the disease F.I.P. in the last year. She still has an older cat (Zirk) & a young kitten (Venus). Venus tested as having F.I.P., but is asymptomatic for now, thank goodness. I am unfamiliar with the disease but want info to pass along to my friend. Venus is too playful & young to be without a playmate, so my friend wants to get another cat, but is concerned. What can she do? All info is appreciated! Thanks!

I have the best papillon ever, he's 4 years old and the smartest & most loyal dog I've ever met! But, he is very jealous. He doesn't like me watching the ducks, squirrels, or birds around my house. (For instance, if I say "oh, look at the baby ducks!" he'll start howling & barking).

I have a friend who has papillon puppies & I desperately want one, but I don't think he'll allow it! I know he wants to be the "king" of the house, but doesn't he want a little friend (esp. if it's a girl?)

Anyway w/ experience in this area?
also: 2 years ago (when he was 2y.o.), I babysat my best friend's chihuahua mix for one night. Let's just say no one slept the whole night. My papillon screamed, whined, barked, cried, wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep, just basically raised hell until the other dog was gone. (and then after he left, he sniffed around the house for hours to make sure)

my 7 year old chihuahua has been limping on his hind leg lately... its on and off though. Like one day he'll be fine and the next he'll be limping. I'm already taking him to the vet on Saturday. Does anybody know any possible causes? Could it be signs of old age?

Short of putting my trash in the pantry ( only place I have to put it away) I cannot seem to keep my rat terrier out of the trash unless we are physically at home. I know she just misses us and above that, does not seem to like her dog food, but something has got to give... and it will not be me

It seems that my hamster wakes up when I go to bed and I really wnat to spend more time with her. Is there any way I can alter her nocturnal sleep schedule so I get some time with her... p.s. do you think it's a good idea to let a 4 year old hold a hamster?

My cat got stuck between the door and a screen door sometime this morning while were out, and we just got back home. We left at 9 and just came back around 4 pm. When we let her out she was panting really hard, and wouldn't drink any water, although I'm guessing it's becuse she couldn't, not because she didn't want to. She immediately ran to the tile floor downstairs and flopped there panting really hard for maybe 15 minutes. She sounded like a dog! Her front legs and chest were all soggy, and I thought it was sweat, until checking online I found that cats don't have sweat glands. We sprayed some water on her, and rubbed her with damp towels. She seems to be doing fine now, but I read some really scary things about nerve damage and heat stroke while checking online for anything helpful. Anyone have any experience with this and can offer some good advice?

We've spayed the places he goes with that anti cat stuff, locked him in a room and rubbed his face in it. We put him in the bathroom for a day and he started using his box again for 3 days. we left on a 3 day trip and came home to find poop on the floor.

I was wondering if anyone out there can help me understand what is going on with my cat Chester. Recently, approx. 4 mos. ago we had to make him an out side cat because he seemed to be aggresive towards our newborn. He seemed to adjust ok, we have a fenced in yard and he was well taken care of,but just 1 mo. ago he starred to escape by digging under the fence and when he comes home,he always brings home a snake! He never kills it though, it's always alive, which really upsets my husband who is deathly afraid of snakes. We always have to kill it,but when we start to get the hoe, that's what we use,Chester starts hissing and afterwards just goes under the porch for at least an hour, sometimes more. It's getting so upsetting. Can anyone please give me any ideas as to why he does it,or better yet,how to stop it. Thank you for your time.
