My dog can open the sliding glass door and let herself out if she has to go potty when I'm at work, I used to get upset about it because I leave the air conditioner on for the dogs since I live in Florida, and I would come home and the sliding glass door would be opened. I would close it, say something to her and after a couple of times started locking it. Last week I came home early because I was sick, I let the dogs out and didn't lock the sliding glass door since I would be there. I fell asleep on the couch and I woke up because I heard something and there she is going potty out back along with the two shepherds, and she trotted back in - waited for the shepherds to follow and shut the door - there was still a little crack, but mostly shut. That's pretty smart....

They are able to continueally learn new tricks, and are able to remember where things are at our home and others ( such as my parents, siblings, or friends homes ) They can remember where toys and treats are kept at many different houses and locations, and how to get them like opening doors or cabinets. He can retreive several different things from the refridgerator and distinguish between each of them. He can remember where he left different toys of his that I ask for ( like under the bed, couch, behind or under the entertainment center, etc.) Even if he has not played with that toy in weeks. He has an extensive vocabulary, and can react to different words and respond the simpliest being Do you want to go for a walk?, and he will go get his leash and harness, etc. and sit and wait at the door. He knows the difference between my work clothes, and other attire so he knows whether he is coming with me or not. I could go on and on.... Everyone should own a Pitbull or American Staffordshire Terrier!!!!

she looks after the children. she wont let them fight, she does the same for my cats. She understands many words and responds to them. She catches flies because she knows theyre dirty (or maybe because i tell her that theyll pinch her biscuits). She tells me when someones at the door or delivering in the street, she guards my house. She is my fire alarm. My burgular alarm and my protector. (if some one went to hit me with a baseball bat shed be off-thats sensible-, but when she broke her knee and the day after the vet took her cast off, the landing light started flickering she hobbled upstairs to tell me. she didnt go upstairs for a fortnite after that.) And most of all she loves me and knows that i love her back and would never ever hurt her not like her first owners, she is a rescue dog.
