My cat tends to run into objects, like a refrigerator door or a wall, before he rubs up against them. He'll do that when he rubs up against people, too. Is there something wrong with his eyes or is he just even weirder than he is now?

Or insane?

He's about 5. He did this when we got him last year. He can see to jump up into sinks or the tub to get a drink, but still runs into solid objects when he rubs against it. He doesn't just run into something and walk away without rubbing against it.

Our other cats are 1 1/2 and 2 and they don't do that with walls and stuff....just your legs until you pick them up.

that is probable the breed. human beings breed and go breed cats, extremely the siamese, to get the "appropriate" puppy and it screws up the cat. Take the persian with its flat face. human beings bred the animal to look like that and now it has troble respiration and often the tongue is in basic terms too long for the mouth. Your siamese might additionally be inbred someplace in its family individuals. This comes of keeping siblings or mum and dad and their offspring at the same time without spaying and neutering the animals. Its crossed eyes might desire to stem from that. As for working into issues it would desire to easily have a imaginative and prescient concern that has no longer something to do with the crossed eyes. If the cat is older it would desire to be dropping its eyesight, or something plenty greater severe might desire to be inflicting undesirable eyesight, which contain ailment or perchance a tumor. Your ultimate guess could be to confirm a vet. attempt to maintain risky gadgets or issues with pointy edges far flung from cat eye height. in the adventure that your cat is hurting itself you are able to could pad table legs or despite the fact that the cat is working into.

I would check with the vet to make sure he doesn't have an inner ear infection. This can effect their balance. Blindness is a possibility, but I think you would know if that were the case.

how old is he. T.J (my kitten) does this because he runs sooooooo fast and then he can't manage to stop himself. he's 5 months old. he's sooooooooo crazy and wild!!!! lol!

maybe he's blind in one. if you want you can take him to the vet and have him checked out. better safe than sorry. since he can still see to jump on top of sinks and tubs then I think he's alright!
