My rabbit is giving birth right now (yes i know its odd cuz its the middle of the day) so far she's gotten 4 out, but the first one was a still born, and it came out about 2 times the size of the others! have any of you ever herd of this or seen this before? one baby being maybe over cooked? she's honestly two times the size! and itsn ot a twin or anything...4 paws, one head...so strange

It could have a genetic disorder that made it much larger, hopefully the other babies are ok, since this one probably got more the the nutrition than the others. Luckily she was also able to push it out since if she couldn't you would probably have lost everyone. They say that usually the first and last babies are the largest, I think it just has to do with placement in the uterius.
Well have fun with the babies, and I hope the rest are perfect!

Depending on circumstances, a rabbit can get pregnant by more than one male at a time so the big one may have been the result of a bigger rabbit. Otherwise, it is really not unusual to have them different sizes or to have one or two still born. Rabbits are fragile, that's why they have boat loads of babies.

if that baby is still alive there is no reason to worry the other babies will be fine.. yes she will eat the after birth & any dead baby. If the bigger baby lives it will grow to be a large rabbit known as a jack rabbit i mean it huge! it wil be twice the normal size of a normal rabbit. this rabbit if it is alive will grow to be a happy fat rabbit.

I used to raise rabbits. That's sad. No I've never heard of that. Bury the little guy some where really good.
