My dog just came inside from playing in the yard and she STINKS!!! I have no idea what it is- she smells like a dead animal but I can't find anything in the yard. She was only out for like 20 minutes so I don't know how she would've gotten something. She looks Ok, is acting Ok, it's not that hot out, she has plenty of water, and she didn't smell before she went out. Any ideas??? Has this happened to your dog?

We recently acquired a one year old miniature dachshund from a family who kept her in an airline crate most of her life. Because of her isolation, she has some major issues when it comes to people. I believe wholeheartedly in crate training. This was not just a crate training situation. She was let out of her crate very little and not socialized AT ALL, which has brought out some major aggression problems with strangers.

She is making progess slowly, and enjoying her new life with her two German Shepherd brothers. Her days are spent playing in the back yard chasing butterflies and terrorizing chipmunks. She finally knows what toys are, and she loves to be cuddled. She has her own doxie bed with a huge quilt that she burrows under.

Physically, she wasn't beaten, but mentally it really did a number on her. We will seek professional help with her if needed. She has a forever home with us, so we won't give up on her.

I did everything I was told like have diffrent food bowls for them and the cage is big enough for a grown person to fit into. They dont fight but they dont like each other either. Oh, also how do you tell weither they are male or femals?

I've never had a pet mouse before and I would like to buy one. What sort of cage do you keep it in, an aquarium type or a hamster type? What sort of food do you buy for it? What type of bedding do you buy? And finally, what is the montly cost for keeping a pet mouse? Any other tips?

My cat is super affectionate and always wants me to pet him and he is always rubbing on me. I figure that means he loves me very much but do they really feel love or is it just that I am warm and I feed him? Would be love someone else just as much?

I have a male cat who is about 2 years old, has been neutered, and has FLV. He never meows, before today I could actually count on 2 hands how many times I've heard him meow.
This morning when I woke up he was meowing a whole lot, and he was walking around with his butt near the ground like he was trying to go to the bathroom. I put him in the litterbox, and he went, but while I was home at lunch he went into the litterbox, and I'm not sure if he went or not, but he came out and started to meow like he was in pain.
I've got a call into the vet, but I though I'd hop on here and see if anyone know what's going on with him, and if there is anything I can do for him in the meantime.
Could this be something to do with the FLV?
Any ideas?

I know birds like to have browse in their cages and acacia branches are good for them. Does anyone know if you can also use branches off a pepper tree? I have been using the branches from our grapefruit tree but would like to use the pepper tree ones as well if it is not harmful.

My dog is a one year and eight month old masife (I total don't know how to spell it. The kind of dog that is off of Turner and Hooch) and he is really nice dog but when he sees kids or anyone outside he takes off and trys to attack them. he already bit one kid awhile ago. My mom's boyfriend told me to start walking him but i'm afraid if i do he'll get loose and bit someone again. Is there anyway that i can walk him without him getting away. Remember he weights 144lbs. And he is very strong too.

I know that bats are beneficial but I have 17 bats that live above my terrace. Each day, there is poop on the ground and my three babies step and crawl on it... I need an effective way to drive them away. I can't close the area where they live - they are all over - under the roof's tiles (south of France rounded tiles). I can't exterminate them (they are protected and... too cute!). Catching them would be nearly impossible.
