My mom wants an akita puppy. It isn't going to be a family dog, hers to keep for herself. We have 2 other dogs, and 3 cats. Will this suit our lifestyle? We have a huge house and yard with plently of space. We won't give him a run because we have a fenced-in yard with the gate at the end of the driveway. Will this work out for him? Our other dogs are chihuahua and brittany. Our cats are mixes except for one maine coon. Is this okay?

ive been asking alot of questions this week with my kitten, thank you for everyone who has answered and helped me. She started out with a URI (or so we thought) and yesterday she was taken in again and they noticed her ears were yellow and urine was dark orange. There was nothing i could have done and her chances where less than 50% even with treatment. I had her put down just because she was suffering so much. Just a word of advice for all owners with a small sickly kitten, have them checked twice! Most are born with it and nothing can be done, but it can save alot of heart ache for the owner and kitten.

I have spent hours reading on internet and one vet will say mineral block another says its high in potassium. One vet will say not alfalfa another says that it has changed and now it is good. How about a good grain? I found XTN has .8% per 2000 lbs but what does that mean for his diet? Please if you have any helpful hints let me know.

She has a really unhealthy sounding meow but she's very playful. I've noticed that she often times will lick me and then start nibbeling on me. I know she's just playing but it hurts. She nibbles on my fingers and my toes. Is that normal?

She is a 15 week old shepherd mix. She was previously free-fed all day but now I feed her 3x per day. She was eating Techni-Cal, but I switched her to Nutro Natural Choice. They recommend 3-3/8 to 4-1/2 cups per day. She has been eating about 2-3/4 cups. She eats as soon as I put the food down, but not very quickly, and soon after her first few bites she just wanders away from it. Is it possible she just doesn't really like it? We walk her about an hour and a half everday plus lots of fetch in the backyard. Just wondering if I should be worried about the low quantity or wait until next Thursday to talk to the vet?
