And no, you cannot just pick them out of the forest for the obvious reason that they are wild. Just some help in the right direction would be appreciated. Breeders exist in England, but cannot find any in Scotland.

One of my dogs nose is so dry its like sand paper. It is also discolored. She has plenty of water all day and is kept inside most of the day. Has anyone had this situation and what did you do? (Note: it doesn't appear to be painful for her)

I bought a beautiful 2 and a half month old pug (i live in China), and her nose is a little runny, nothing serious. Other than that she seems fine. Playful, alert, good appetite. Please let me know.

I want to try and get my parakeets to eat fruit and veggies but they seem scared of them and just avoid that part of the cage.

Our cat is on my lap whilst I'm typing this. Why does she think she can just jump up, turn aroung, dig her claws in and go to sleep. Walk all over me with no regard to that part of my anatomy that does not like pain and use me for her convenience? Surely we are supposed dominion over animals?

He is crying and trying with al his force to get to a female if he meets one now. If he is neutered, will he be indifferent to them, or will he still want to go near them and hump them, but he will just be steril?

I have a 6 month old Dapple Dachshund. He refuses to eat his dry AND wet puppy food. Yet, he attacks the dry cat food.

If I put up the cat food he wont eat AT ALL.

what should I do?

My boyfriend and I have wanted a puppy for many months and last night decided to purchase a gorgeous labrador/alaskan malamute cross. I understand that puppies cry loads when left alone and we want to teach him to cope with being on his own as we both work full time.
I have been in tears all morning as I am now wondering how WE are going to cope and if we made the right decision. He gets very upset when we leave and feel he will be a nightmare when left during the day.
I think I know deep down that we shouldnt have got him and that is what is making me upset - so my question is, do we stick it out, hoping he will adjust to being on his own - or try to take him back to who we purchased him from or rehoming centre- or any other suggestions?
Please only genuine answers.

my cat is a persian mix, but she's all white with 1 blue eye and 1 green eye. she's healthy, has a good appetite and very lively so i have not contacted a vet. but when i pet her, hair comes off in my hands and gets all over my clothes. i figured maybe it was just the heat, since it's summer and she's a house cat. she has no bald spots and her coat is still even and not thinning.

Is her shedding normal or could it be a vitamin deficiency? cat lovers need your help, thanx

My dog picks up an unbelievable number of ticks that require daily picking out. Does anyone know of an effective tick repellant that can be made from house-hold ingredients.

I haven't found commercial products such as Frontline to be that effective.

Well, heres my dilema. I have a pet gerbil that appears to have broken her back. She is very uncomfortable. So I ask you this. Is there a way to gas (put to sleep) a small pet? I have heard that the vet can euthanize them however they dont give then anesthetic and it is very painful. This in addition to the cost is a deterant. Is there something available over the counter or possibly household goods that would work?

In the interest of letting people understand some reptiles more, I post this question for you. I do know the answer to it and I wonder how many people know this answer also.

What sound do turtles make if they do speak? Or do they not make any sounds?
