Actually either of the shampoos listed above will "help." Ticks are much harder to get rid of than fleas. You really need to pick them off. Or use a dip. Dips are hard to find these days. Get it from your vet or you may buy one that is too strong and harm your dog. Then like the others said buy some frontline plus, or a preventative collar. You need to find the source of the ticks. They usually live in dead wood. If you have any piles of wood around the yard get rid of it. You'll also need to spray the yard. Like I said ticks are very resilient so stay on top of it. If your yard boarders the woods then try to keep the dog out of the woods. Ticks can carry a variety of diseases. Some of them being fatal to your dog. Some can cause paralysis. Good luck.

You can use most flea and tick shampoos to start. Then pick them off one by one.
After that, you can get Frontline Plus from the vet . I use an OTC called Bio Spot. I use it on all my dogs and on all the rescues that I have had. Haven't seen a flea or a tick in over 10 yrs.

try this remady:
Dawn dish washing liquid does the trick. Add a few drops to your dog's bath and shampoo the animal thoroughly. Rinse well to avoid skin irritations. Goodbye fleas.
