my cat is a persian mix, but she's all white with 1 blue eye and 1 green eye. she's healthy, has a good appetite and very lively so i have not contacted a vet. but when i pet her, hair comes off in my hands and gets all over my clothes. i figured maybe it was just the heat, since it's summer and she's a house cat. she has no bald spots and her coat is still even and not thinning.

Is her shedding normal or could it be a vitamin deficiency? cat lovers need your help, thanx

My cats are shedding alot right now as well. It's totally normal. Freak out, only if there are bald spots.

I try to brush them more frequently to prevent hairballs and mess for me clean off of everything later. If you are feeling adventurous, you could try a bath, that will also help to remove the loose hair. I bring mine to the groomer once in a while.

It's normal. It's the heat, she has to get rid of some of that coat. My long hair is the same way. We feel like we're in a blizzard of fur. Try brushing her, it will help contain the spread of hair all over your house and help her not get hairballs.

I hate it when a cat jumps on me, because all their fur gets on my clothes. It is more during the summer that this happens, but usually during the winter, a few hairs come off

its norm for cats to do so but to maintain the fur volume you just have give them supplements, less of the oily food and more pet food instead of prepared fried food such as fish, another way you can get the comb brush which will get them into a fur ball and then easily away from your clothing and furnitures.

worse, pls do check out the vet nearby.

You must brush her daily !!! I have 2 long haired cats, and I have to brush them everyday. It is a job, but, it is for her health. She will develop hairballs that can actually cause blockages in her intestines. I was a vet tech for 2 years and have seen alot of this.

all cats shed a lot especially during summer because the fur is a coat and they too get hot.
