I have a mini poodle who's really friendly NEVER bites is very hyper and playful and LOVES other animals. Recently I've asked my mother for a cat but she said it will be dangerous. Is this true? Though, she is very playful and might get too wild. Thanks

I have a couple of goldfish in my pond which are losing pigmentation. They are turning albino! They seem quite happy - they are feeding and breeding. They are 2/3 years old and 5 inches up to the tail. Everything in the pond is thriving and there have been no new fish/plants for 2 years.
Is this normal? Is it permanent? Is there any treatment?

I have been keeping hermit crabs in my classroom. I brought them home for the summer and lost 3. Each time it is the same thing. They come out of their shells, apparently to change and them die. The last one was out for two days. I watched it try out new shells but not select one. Finally it just turned belly up. The others have curled up into a sort of ball. I have a good variety of shell choices. I have gone to several websites but haven't seen this answered. Any ideas?

To the obvious "funny people": yeah, I know I killed them. My question is "How?"

i just started out witih my first aquarium. its a 2 gallon hex and i have a red clawed crab in there with 2 guppies. i just saw my crab attack and kill my male guppy and now he is eating it. should i leave the dead male guppy for him to finish or should i take it out?

I have (or had) a flock of pet laying hens and there are some raccoons that keep coming and eating them. I need to get rid of the raccoons if I want to prevent my last remaining hens from becoming a bloody feast all over the yard but my neighbor is a PETA freak ans says that she'll "report me and make me wish I hadn't" if I do anything about the raccoons. It's not like I want to shoot them or anything, I just want to catch them in a live trap and let them go in the forest far away from my pet laying flock. She thinks that trapping and relocating the raccons is cruel and that anyone who care's about animals wouldn't think of doing that. I thought PETA people were supposed to care about animal lives. Doesn't she care about the hens?

She is light tan and white on her chest,I have checked every pet shelter. She weighs about 60 pounds and she look like she wears eye liner. She need medication ....Fat reward. She is dearly morned by our family. She is about 4 1/2 years old.

I have two cats, (boy and girl) one of which is spayed. They're both indoor cats, and never ever go outside. Lately we've felt a little lump in the female's lower abdomen. She's also been very affectionate lately.. which is unusual because usually she wants nothing to do with us. I don't know how it could be possible for her to be pregnant, because the other cat is spayed... but can this happen? Please help.

i was petting my dog and found one spot was itching him. i looked closer and saw a penny size red spot on his skin. it was reddish and probably with blood sprinkled on top or something. it might have been a spider bite or something that he itched too much. i dono anyway i put neosporine on it. is neosporine safe for dogs on open wounds? any other suggestion?

My cornsnake has made a habit of pooping in her water dish recently and not only is it gross and annoying, but I'm concerned that she's trying to tell me something that I'm just not getting. I change her water everyday, and feed her once or twice a week (she's only about a year old). She normally doesn't even want to poop in her tank and waits until someone picks her up or I take her out to poop. Is she normal or is she just a jerk? Any advice would be very greatly appreciated!
