I paid a pet deposit when we first moved into my old house - and my pet did some minor damage that cost less than the pet deposit was for.

Does my landlord have the legal right to make me pay additionally for the damage, even though he still has money leftover from my nonrefundable deposit?

a lot of these animals were already at the animal shelter when the storm hit.
even if the animal had a microchip a lot of vet's will have a different reader and can't detect the information(yes they have different brands and it only reads there brand). I have read about this happening.
Even if they did read the microchip and get the info, their houses were blew away, and it may take several several weeks to locate them or the family to actually find the right shelter that has their pet.
'm not talking about the ones who abandoned their animals outside during the storm either.
one family put there dog in the shelter right before the storm. they were not able to get back untill 5 weeks later and found there dog had been adopted.

I've read some people write in various places on the net how they put their fingers in the tank and touch and/or feed the fish. I was always under the impression that you're not supposed to touch fish. I have a fishtank but I've never touched the fish (Dalmation Molly, Australian Rainbow, Algae Eater, Gourami, African Dwarf Frog, and a Guppy.) Are you not supposed to touch them, or are you allowed to? And I don't think the fish I listed have teeth...can they do anything to you if you put your fingers in there? And do you touch your fish?

I was just offered a weanling for free All I would have to pay would be for shots and gelding. I live in PA near the Maryland line. What is the average that you pay for those. I am trying to come up with a figure for initial costs.

My dog is part chow but mostly german shepard. She is about 2 years old and she never eats her food directly over her bowl. She would rather pick up a mouth full and bring it way in the other room, drop it all on the floor and eat it. And she just continues to go back and forth doing this. At first I thought it maybe because she was just so noisy that she wanted to know what was going on in the other room where I am. But I have moved her bowl into the living room where I usually am, and she does the same thing.

This is just a hypothetical Question that always makes me wonder..
Let say that a family owned a guard dog (somewhere along Rottweiler, Boxer, or Dobbermann).
A thief came at night to rob the house and he carried a gun.
And he got attacked by the dog causing the death of the thief (or serious injury).

Would the law in US put the owner to prison and killed the dog?
(and in the case of the thief is injured) Is the law permits the thief to sue the owner for physical and mental anguish?

My understanding is that the law actually will euthanize the dog..
Am i wrong? It seemed a bit unfair to me...

Advantage for cats is cheaper from an online Australian store, even with higher shipping, but I don't know if it's legal to import this to the US for my use. The store suggests checking with authorities as the meds are in Australian packaging. Does anyone know which authority I would check with?
