There is this little dog that keeps coming to our house and i think it is giving us lice b/c we have never had it till this dog kept coming around.....How do you get rid of lice on pets and cheaply?!?

try this medicine called tea tree oil. it will get it out fast. we had that prob with my bunnies,

Animals don't get lice. The type of lice that people get can only survive on human blood. The dog might have mites or something you could be getting. Take it to the vet and have it treated. If you do have lice in your house and on your heads, it's very difficult to get rid of, lice have become immune to most of the treatments out there. Good Luck.

Hmm.. you better reconsider where it's coming from because according to any source I've ever read dogs don't have or carry lice. I'd check your children's friends or someone who's been in close proximity. Watch for youngsters touching their head or scratching. I doubt it's the dog but if so you could treat it with shampoo I suppose. Also Tea Tree Oil is a natural repellant of lice and it's available at any health food store or wal mart near medications and vitamins.

Lice DO get on goats and occassionally horses. There's no reason they wouldn't get onto a dog and then move as soon as possible say onto your family. Ask a vet about getting rid of lice on animals.

Dogs don't get lice so it's probably mites, ask your local pet store for a treatment and if that doesn't work take it to a vet to get it checked up.

Man, I have never heard of someone blaming their lice on a stray dog!!! LOL!!!
That is NOT possiable!!! SORRY!!!! Head lice is species specific. Human head lice is not from dogs or cats!!!!!!!!
You just have lice!!!!!! SICK!!!!!!!!!!

lice dont get on pets they are only on people
